Hey Alan, I give you the business sometimes, but you truly are the best we have her in NY...Frank Isola of the DN said the other day that D'Antoni has never given us a reason to not believe what he says because has not lied to us since he's been here. Do you agree with that statement?

Alan,
After trading their two 20-point per game players, will this team be unwatchable for the next 2 years? What can they do to be competitive for the next 2 years? As a season ticket holder, 2010 is a long way off. What is your best guess as to what their record will be this year?

Everyone needs to chill out with us not being competitive for the next two years. I've been a Knicks fan since I was a little kid and I have to say, I've endured a lot and waiting 2 more years to have a legit shot of being a dominate team is a lot less painful than say watching the Knicks during the 90's when your heart was literally broken from all the close opportunities they had to win it all. Those were some exciting times and games but let me tell you it was 10x more painful when they came so close but never went all the way. I still shake my head everytime Patrick Ewing's name comes up.. but I tell you, patiences.. when we win it all, it's gonna feel 10x better after all we've been through and i definitely can't wait to have the garden rocking like it used to through those knicks/heat playoff matches but this is the new scheme in the nba. 3 stars... look at the some of the most dominate teams out there right now.. you have the celtics, lakers, houston.. now at least we know we have a good opportunity to be included in that sentence.

I think people should remember how the Celtics looked before they got Garnett and Ray Allen. They went from one of the worst records to one of the best... it can happen to us now.

Alan,

You know darn well that what's going on between Marbs and D'AnPhony has nothing to with... "the petulant multi-millionaire athlete who wields more power than the coach should be over. and maybe this is the benchmark moment for that."...You can believe that if you want but the free agents, and coaches know what's really going on here and it has nothing to do with race.

I started seeing this comparison to the Celtics... they had an All-Star on the team and then got 2 MORE All-Stars. Way different from not having a team, prospects or any player close to all star on this team.

I hope they don't assume the cap space will go up every year and while I like Boozer I worry about betting any cap room before we sign Bron.

This economy will result in a lower cap than is currently projected.

Moves like Seattle to Okieville probably don't help either.
