Posterized!

Wasn't a W, but not a bad start for the new-look Knicks. Too many turnovers and the Knicks shot poorly from three-point range, while the Raptors were exactly what you would expect them to be: an excellent shooting team.

Lots of positives to take out of the game, but for now let's enjoy two memorable moments:

Wilson Chandler elevates over J.O....

...and Nate Robinson goes baseline like a possessed Chucky doll.

Going to get some sleep. I'll check in tomorrow for thoughts on the game.

Duhon sucks. He’s the 4th best guard on the team. He should be coming in for 7 min a game to give the other guys a rest.
Marbury is better than him in every aspect of the game. All this talk about being team-oriented and Dantoni sits Marbury out of spite? Anyone with eyes knows that Duhon cannot compare to Marbury. Dantoni needs to suck it up and start the best player on the team.
And if you don’t want to start Marbury, start Nate. It’s like his body was sculpted specifically for this offense. He’s an absolute freak of nature.
Can’t wait to chant “Duhon Sucks!” opening night. We need to send Dantoni a message that starting clearly inferior players will NOT be tolerated.

Funny how you copy and paste your respond on both blog lol so here i will copy and paste mine to your quick reaction...

I doubt the system will work w/ marbury holding the ball(check our team assist)...its the first pre season so i hope they can fix the TO problem but i like the speed of the game…

STATS:

Duhon: 6ast 7to 10 reb
Marb: 3ast 5to 1reb

nobody won lol

lol. owned.

Marbury is going to have to pass more and dribble less in order to fit into D'Antoni's system. If he doesn't he will start to lose minutes. You play the game D'An's way (team ball) or you sit.

Does anyone know what happened during the scene was when nate was all fired up in practice? i turned my head away for a second and just saw nate freaking when i turned back.

ok let me start by saying they lost but it was entertaining

alrite here we go
i been said it the day they signed duhon he can't shoot he is garbage
he does remind me of h.easily but h.e had a better shot
duhon vs balkman in a shooting contest for some reason i think balkman might win(don't get me wrong duhon is going to have nites but not as many as marbury can)
duhon got no handles as he is a p.g
12+ million well spent

i think c.arroyo has better platmaking skills than duhon

now why bench marbury how are u going to bench your best player.ok.
an i heard marbury outperformed duhon in training camp an is obvious rite..

luv the way lee an zach tagged teamed luv that frontline

friday the next game lets see

stay tuned for more KnowLedge

Jay is corny, and KnowLedge seems to lack just that.

Marbury may be the 'best' player talent wise, but it is very fair of D'Antoni not to start him. He is a cancer that should have to work twice as hard as anyone else if he is to start. Given his track record, D'Antoni would appear stupid and weak if he handed the keys over right away. Take it easy with the Duhon-hate, it's only one preseason game, and you gotta' love the 10 boards.

What kind of true Knick fan says in Game 1 Duhon sucks?

Let's stay positive and support this team through the changes.

Chris Duhon will be a strong player and leader on this team from the PG position, and Steph can give us points off the bench, as long as he keeps his ego / mouth shut and plays team ball the way his Coach wants him to play!

I love the clip of nate dunking and slapping the backboard(2 points) and then comes back and play bad defense and gives up and open jumper(3 points). I agree it is one game but atleast some of the guys that we need to trade seemed to play above what was expected.

Keeping 2010 alive
with some bulljive

RP said it.

Marbury and Duhon played at about the same level so don't lose it over one preseason game.

Duhon was shaky because it's his first time in this system against another team, he can't shoot, but he's out there to pass it so calm down.

Marbury isn't starting because he needs to realize he doesn't run this organization. If anything, he should be happy D'Antoni and Walsh are smart enough not to slam him in the papers for his attitude, thus preserving (and possibly elevating) his trade value. If he wants more than the veteran minimum somewhere else next year, he'd be wise to fall in line.

Just how I see certain players fitting in this season.

Jamal Crawford - 23 ppg, 37 FG%, 34 3PT%, 5 apg, 4 tpg, 1 spg
Zach Randolph - 21 ppg, 10 rpg, 3 apg, 45 FG%
Nate Robinson - 16 ppg, 4 apg, 43 FG%, 38 3PT%, 1 spg
David Lee - 14 ppg, 12.5 rpg, 53 FG%
Wilson Chandler - 9.5 ppg, 5 rpg, 44 FG%
Stephon Marbury - 9 ppg, 3 apg, 40 FG%
Eddy Curry - 7 ppg, 2 rpg, 55 FG%
Quentin Richardson - 7 ppg, 4 rpg, 33 FG%, 30 3PT%
Chris Duhon - 6 ppg, 5 apg, 38 FG%, 35 3PT%
Danilo Gallinari - 5 ppg, 3 rpg, 43 FG%, 35 3PT%
Jared Jeffries - 4 ppg, 4 rpg, 38 FG%

David Lee was very impressive.... If he plays like this every night (especially against Bosh and O'neal), We got an All-star..Duhon sucked.

Jackie Butler would fit in nicely......
