The Knicks will get a look at young Italian star Danilo Gallinari on Friday, according to his father. Gallinari will first work out with the Nets on Thursday, when the Knicks will have OJ Mayo in at the MSG Training Center.
Mayo, like Jerryd Bayless and Eric Gordon, will work out by himself for the Knicks staff. Clearly the Knicks want to see specific skills in each guard through drills instead of in game situations.
The Knicks won't yet confirm Gallinari. Fellow Fixer Andrew Marchand reported on ESPN Radio that Kevin Love is also scheduled to come in on Friday.
This is a loaded day:
D.J. Augustin
Donte Green
Kosta Koufas
Kevin Love
Anthony Randolph
Jason Richards
That's one workout.
Gallinari goes alone later in the afternoon.
This could be it for Knick workouts.

If we can't draft a star quality young point, why not try to bring in Luke Ridnour from Seattle, as he appears to have Steve Nash type IQ / skill sets and could blossom in the D'Antoini system?
I really think he could be a fit and wonder if Walsh, D'Antoni have him on their radar, as he may be expendable if Seatlle picks Bayless and they keep Watson?
What do any of you visionary, forward thinking, open minded, high B- ball IQ Fixers think about this idea? My 21 year old son came up with this idea and I liked it too!
umm.. Phil, I think you should re-think your Ridnour/Nash comparison.
Being the same skin tone doesn't make their skill set similiar.
sunil, i agree with you on the fact that they are totally unrelated guards... he is neither athletic or explosive, despite his smarts. nash is quick as can be.
but, sunil, there was no need to bring race into. that was really low class.
What's with you guys and Luke Ridnour? He stinks!
Luke ? get the heck outta here. I'd rather see TJ Ford run the point if we cant draft a PG. Nash and Ridinour shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence.
Luke ridnour is a back up PG at best...
he is not fast...actually he is quite slow footed.
this is why seatlle is looking for a PG
nash is lightening fast and able to go left or right
also he not as good a shooter as nash.
when you crowd nash on the pick and roll its like pick you poison
he can knock down the open shot if left open or deliver the killer dime to set up an easy dunk or lay up
putting nash and ridnour in the same sentence is really an insult to nash
i would go after TJ ford because of his ability to break down the defense off the dribble.
Baron Davis, Tj Ford, or Rafer Alston
He's not Nash I agree with everyone else on here, but he's a better POINT guard than what we have. Remember it took Nash years and playing time to get this good. I haven't really got to see much of Ridnour, but a few years ago he was playing really well. Seattle would probably want their home town boyz for him and I'd like to see Nate and Jamal in D'Antiono system first. So no to Ridnour.
But, I don't want the often injured/too small TJ Ford either.
No to Baron Davis and Rafer Alston, also.
If we're not going to draft a point then let Steph play out his contract.
Yes To Baron Davis and yes to Rafer Alston, Get It Right
I'll stick up for Sunil on that one. He wasn't bringing race into it, just making a good point that you don't have to limit comparisons of players to others of the same race. Ridenour doesn't play like Nash. And if either were black, that comparison would never be made.
That said, I'd rather go with TJ Ford at the point. Or one of Memphis' PG's if you could package Z-bo in a deal for any of them.
this p.g thing is gettin over blown i came already.lol.
yess to alston yes to baron if he can play 70 games
yes to let star playout his contract
get the best player at the ^ spot regardless of position or trade the f-ing trade if u gonna do something retarded with it
no to t.j ford i'm better then him.he is lucky to be in the nba.all jokes aside/while i'm at it i'm better than alot of pgz in the nba.here we go.parker i'll beat him 21-10 anyday.moving on.
let me see if walsh is a white zeke we will findout.lmao
stay tuned for more KnowLedge
To all the Luke haters ha, what is the real issue with his game... He's not a star?
Well we don't have much to trade to get a star, we need a point... We have enough guys who score but dont distribute the ball too many people get caught up in big names... Ridnour has avg 5as for his career in 26.6mins that would put him at the top assist man on the Knicks per minute... Dont mention Steph cuz the writing is on the wall he is outa here... We need someone who can spell Jamal at the point we may not get that in the draft... Luke would be a stop gape point, until we get a better player... I'm not saying he is the future but u could add him and evaluate him for the next 2yrs... He only makes 6.5mil u can trade him for Rose possibly, who's contract ends next year so the Sonics make the trade for cap relief... Fred Jones wont be resigned Mardy will not be able to run the point in the new system... Tj Ford injury prone and would be to costly and Baron please he aint coming here... They would have to give him an extension which puts us out of the Lebron sweepstakes... And why would Houston trade Rafer, come on...
Being out West, I had the opportunity to watch Beno Udrih from Sacramento blossom this year, and I believe he is available. He'd be a great fit in an uptempo offense, and could easily handle D'Antionio's PHX system. Particularly since he spent all of last year as a starter and really did well.
I think another good possibility would be one of the two PGs from Memphis. One of them is tradeable, and I think either would really do well for the Knicks in an up-tempo team that is rebuilding.
Remember, we don;t need a big splash, we need a FIT. Look at Rondo in Boston. He's streaky, and has the benefit of having three hall of famers to pass to, but he's a good fit for that team.
That's what the Knicks need if we can;t get a young, good PG in the draft. A serviceable young point that fits the system.
Bringing in guys like Baron, or anyone else with that much mileage just doesn't make sense.
If this is it, they did not bother to workout Brook Lopez, Darrell Arthur, DeAndre Jordan, Robin Lopez, Brandon Rush, Nicholas Batum, Ty Lawson or Chris Douglas-Roberts.
@Brian
i have watched beno udrih and he is a pretty good PG.
great from behind the arc and very speedy.
he torched the lakers several times
i am praying that OJ Mayo falls in our lap.
i doubt it will happen...
if we can't get OJ i would take a chance on anthony randolph.
he reminds me of a young chris bosh.
If we could get Skip cheap I could see that. Him, Steph, Nate, Zach, Q-rich, we would have at least 3 team fights a season (and I mean team fights amongst each other). Trade for Artest and we could be a traveling sideshow (oh right that was last year).
Seriously though, Fast guards will blow right by Ridonour and Crawford and we have absolutely no shotblocking to protect the rim. T.J. Ford isn't the Glove on D either but he does a good job pressuring the ball up the floor and is lightining quick in a PHX style system. My worry with him is the injuries and him getting posted up since we might play the worst help defense in NBA history.
I liked Alan's suggestion of Monta Ellis but we would still need a point. Drafting Bayless/Mayo and signing Ellis or doing a sign and trade for him might not be a bad idea. if we can trade Crawford for some shotblocking help and a pick next year.
According to the Sacramento Bee, Sacremento was high on Udrich and he was not available which is why the Kings were willing to trade Bibby.

I hope you like the fact that I will be swindiling Peacemand out of a pair of Knicks Tickets this up coming season.
I bet him a week ago that the Celtics would beat the lakers in 6, 7 tops.
below is my reason why. One Phrase. "TAKING CANDY FROM A BABY!"
I like many a soon to be former fan of the NBA have been very suspect of the officiating going on in the league.
Actually if truth be told I bet I recently made with your boy peaceman was based on my view that the NBA has been geared this season to grant the Celtics a 17th championship.
There were many actions that weren’t taken against the Celtics this year that should have been taken.
Namely:
Pierce should have been suspended several games for choking Crawford in the preseason.
Not a word from the “N.B.A.” on that one.
Perkings should have been suspended at least on game during the Celtics v. hawks series (lower case h for hawks no misprint as the Celtics were scripted as the superior team this post season), when he stepped outside the bench area during one of the games of that series. That non call, especially Perkins playing the way he is, might have cost the Hawks a game in the series.
Again
Not a peep from the “N.B.A.”
Pierce Manhandles certain Piston defenders and the foul calls go in Pierce’s favor. The shyt is so blatant Rasheed Wallace goes on an explitive ridden tirade against what too many soon to be former fans already know. The playoffs, and now the “N.B.A.” finals are stacked in the Celtics Favor.
Not a peep from the League on that one.
Game 2, 2008 “N.B.A.” Finals the disparity in the officiating in Boston Garden to the detriment of the Lakers and in Favor of Stern’s Goldenboys the Celtics, raises the ire of Phil Jackson.
Again not a peep from the League.
But what all too well knew has just been made public. Stern is the script writer and his croocked refs and cronies are the on court directors.
I know the Celtics will win the “N.B.A.” finals this year from the moment I saw that Kevin Garnett Gator Aide comercial marketing the direction of this years playoffs by highlighting the Celtics, Garnett followed by the slogan “league of clutch!”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPrSeRey3SI
That same sort of comercial followed the NFL Superbowl MVP performance of Eli Manning, and unexpected result for the NFL.
Now it has been following every series and series advance by the Boston Celtics, in this case the Gator Aid commercial is not documenting an unexpected championship or unexpected championship performance.
No
The Kevin Garnett Gator Aid, “League of Clutch” Commercial is foreshadowing David Stern’s Master Plan to hook up Danny Boy and the old boy Boston network a 17th ring.
Betting peaceman for a pair of Knicks season tickets by picking the Celtics to beat the Lakers is like taking candy from a baby!
