Hello there. Rod Boone here for Kat today. The Yankees are in search of a sorely-needed victory and manager Joe Girardi is confident this is the day they start that roll everyone has been waiting for.
"I'm an optimistic guy," Girardi said. "So it starts today."
About the only thing of note from our pregame clubhouse session was the progress of Joba Chamberlain. He played catch again today and said he felt better than he did yesterday. And with that, here's the lineup.
