Girardi is a stuborn man by leaving Arod and Giambi in 4/5 spots when one is hitting.248 with Risp and Giambi not hitting .202 with Risp. How much could it hurt to move Matsui in Giambi's spot and Giambi in Matsui's spot. IMHO Girardi is in brain freeze or protecting the mindset of Giambi.
Trying to post on this blog has been ridiculous. Like the Yankees have been. As Larry stated, A-Rod and Giambi need to be split. If some how thay manage to get the wild card ( and I highly doubt that will happen) they dont deserve it. Or wont do crap anyway. They are on ESPN tonight I think, it seems whenever they are on national TV they really embarass themselves. They have been making me sick all year! But I keep watching. A glutten for punishment I guess.
Geez....I don't know if Royals and Pirates fans get this hysterical.
It's a bad season, the first one in 13 years and if that's going to be the pattern, I can live with it.
All jokes aside, this game is it. Tomorrow the Yankees face Lester who is left handed and, as we know, the Yankees can't hit left handed pitching. If the Yankees get swept they will be 9 games behind Boston with only three head to head against them.
Once again, we can talk all we want about Alex and Giambi not coming through last night but it was a member of the old guard - Andy - who spit the bit more than anyone. Bad umpiring or not Andy was awful in a spot where we needed him to come up big.
Hey, for what it's worth, the last time the Yankees weren't in the playoffs (94 due to the strike) I was just turning 16. If it happens this year...it happens
