Here are a couple thoughts from GM Brian Cashman on the Yankees' awful offense:
"It's been inefficient. This year, for some reason, we don't know how to score. We're dreadful with runners in scoring position."
He also said: "We're embarrassed by where we're at."
On the international amateur free agent signing front, the yankees also inked two players from Venezuela. They signed outfielder Ramon Flores and catcher Jackson Valera.
Here's the lineup:

Ellsbury LF
Pedroia 2B

Ramirez DH

This team just has no heart. Boston had lost 8 out of 12 before coming into the stadium and now have taken the first 2 and will probably sweep the Yanks. They have the bases loaded twice and come away with nothing. The pitching is awful and Rasner $ucks. The get 5 hits again (I'm not counting the "hit" that Jeter got in the 9th cause Crisp caught that ball). For the life of me, I don't know why Gardner isn't going up there with the intention of bunting to get on base. Ellsbury did it, twice, and got hits. He came around to score both times I believe.
They can have all of the meetings that they want but let's face it, they're putrid and until they start to hit on a consistent bases, it's addios for this year.
$200+ million dollar team, sellouts most nights, 4+ million in attendance, and this is what we get? Management has the nerve to say that this team is competitive? Yeah, right!
I've had enough for today. I'm going to BBQ some burgers and down some brews and hopefully forget about this $hitty team for at least one day.
