Tino Martinez is an old timer....I am sooooo old
As impressive as the list is, one name is missing....Bernie Williams
Nice try, I know that isn't skippy.
no live blog?
Chip- I guess they are trying to bore the troll. But oh look they still are here posting.
Chip,
I noticed the same thing about that list and my feeling is that maybe Bernie will be a special surprise that will be kept for a while. It would be awesome to have him there, it certainly would.
Oh, and you feel old? How about the fact that I remember Ron Davis as a promising young rookie? Where does the time go?
Old Jim A?
How 'bout I vaguely remember Bob Turley coming in as a "closer" in 1960. (before there was such a term).
I was 5.
Time.....is still on our side.....yes it tis.
WOW.......Steve "Bye Bye" Balboni is gonna make it.
He held the unique distinction of simultaneously being the national poster child for premature hair loss AND male pattern baldness.
Balboni have been Sexson's childhood idol.
In 11 seasons Balboni distinguished himself with 181 dingers and 856 K's.
And he transformed that mystique into opening a Baseball School.
Good for him.
I say more power to Steve Balboni.
Nice to see names like Charlie Silvera and Jerry Coleman.
God Bless The REAL Old-Tmers.
(Both played with my pops in post WWII minors).
Ok I just saw partial list because where are the big 2 Yogi & Reggie?
Are'nt the HOF ceremony inductions that same weekend? That would mean Yogi, Reggie, Whitey, and the Goose will be upstate that weekend.Thats a shame.
Have you heard anything about the SI version of the game the following day?
