Gameday Live 93: Yankees at Blue Jays

Yankees (49-43) vs. Blue Jays (45-47)

Joba Chamberlain (2-2, 2.45) vs Roy Halladay (10-6, 2.88)

The Yankees are coming off a difficult loss in Pittsburgh where the bats went a bit quiet again. Jorge Posada has also recently voiced his concerns about his diminishing time behind the plate and oh, the Yankees face Roy Halladay tonight.

The five-time All-Star selection allowed two runs on six hits over seven innings to earn his team-leading 10th win of the year in his last start against the Angels. He walked one and struck out seven, while needing 107 pitches. Halladay is 11-5 with a 3.03 ERA in his career against the Yankees.

The right-hander was the opponent for Joba Chamberlain in his first major league start in June. Joba lasted just two-plus innings while Halladay gave up two runs over six innings for the win. Since then Joba has shown plenty of promise and looks more comfortable as a starter. Chamberlain allowed three runs over six innings on 101 pitches against the Red Sox in his last start. Joba has a 1.11 ERA on the road.
