On the Yankees beat

Greetings from Fenway. It's a lovely day in Boston, unlike yesterday, when rain/storms wreaked havoc on the local airports. Today it's quite pleasant. So everything looks good for the Yankees-Red Sox series.
We're less than a week away from the trade deadline, and we'll do our best to keep you up to date on the latest. The Yankees have several key areas they are interested in upgrading -- adding a bat, a left-handed reliever and a solid starting pitcher. But it's no guarantee they'll get anything done at any of the three positions. Lots of names are being tossed around. It's a game of chicken right now -- sellers asking for a fortune and buyers hoping the asking price drops.
