Giambi isn't batting clean-up anymore? I wonder why.
Get ready for some ground balls to short right field.
The hitting on this team is pitiful!
The lineup without Arod and Posada lacks punch especially with Giambi unable to provide any sort of power. So, as we watch our lineup get hits but no runs. It would be worth watching if Girardi incorporates more hit and run.
Its amazing how this team struggles to put offense with pitching. I know that they can be a .500 club but can they squeeze out the additional 15 games to make the playoffs. Girardi should start manipulating the offense and get some runs across instead of exhibiting patience for the bats to start hitting.
Pitching has been OK. Good enough to win!!!!!!!!!!!
Good point, Larry.
Where's the small-ball, point-to-point stuff when we need it?
Wasn't that supposed to be Girardi's forte?
Yes, Molina up man on third, one out no safety squeeze as pointed out by announcers. Their hitting the long ball today. I really like Betemint much more than Ensberg. I just wish he got more playing time. I believe we pick up defense with him and hitting power.
Last against Lee we had men on base with two.all the time can't do much hit and run with this option.
Giambi, hitting the soft thrower, this is typical of his last couple of years.
