Will KRod break the single season save record this year? He has 17 saves through 46 team games. That puts him on pace for about 59 or 60 saves. Bobby Thigpen has the record with 57 in 1990.

Hughes Your Daddy....as long as K-Rod celebrates like a little leaguer and Joba Chamberlain is frowned upon for doing so, who cares what K-Rod does.

I don't mean to dampen anyone's spirits... but with all this talk by many bloggers about bringing up Gardner... as if he has been some sort of revelation at AAA.... what exactly has he done?

I view Gardner (of course i've only seen him play 1 or 2 games last year... and spring training this year) as similar to the Mets old prospect from a few years ago - Jason Tyner.

Tell me if I am wrong... but that is what I see. NOthing more and nothing less.

As long as K-Rod keeps serving up meatballs to Manny, he can do whatever he wants
