Wang lit up
Chien-Ming Wang lasted only 2/3 of an inning in his second spring start. The Reds got six hits and two walks and scored six times before Wang was removed.
I can't get excited about it. It's spring training. Wang has a track record. It's about getting his work in, not results.
Having said that...after the wretched ALDS he had, I guess fans will have some concerns. Do you?
UPDATE, 2:50 p.m.: Wang says he's not hurt. Just couldn't get his sinker down.

The only concern I would have is if he is injured, other than that, no worries.

Worried about Spring Training stats are we??? For your starters, the only category you need to worry about is health. If they come out healthy, and ready to go when the games start...ST was a success.
On the other hand, if you have players coming back from injuries or trying to make the team, then the stats carry a little more weight...such as....
Scott Patterson...another clean 1 1/3 innings.
0 runs...0 hits...0 BB..1 K

The young power LHP is starting off the bullpen competition the right way! Hopefully he can continue to hold it down and emerge as our top LHP option out of the pen.
nardi or dave eiland need to figure out wang's problem and correct it. or, cashman needs to make a deal and we know he has the chips to do so.

Its every fans perrogative to worry or disregard ST performances as they please. I would not make anything out Wang getting banged around by the Reds. All players need work. This is what ST is all about Wang is working on pitches such as a changeup which means his pitching scheme is being changed plus the mental aspect of doing it in ST and getting banged around makes the mental aspect of doing it and failing until its perfected physically than mentally. Its all about the work an practicing, some days will be good some will be bad when practicing.
I'm not worried.

Maybe the team will suck, maybe they wont. but NO ONE here can tell me they know how the season is going to go yet. You can guess or you can THINK you might know but no one can see the future.
