First Legends Field update

Sorry for the lack of posts this morning, but I was out at the Yankees' minor league complex. Reporters have now moved to the Legends Field press box, awaiting Joe Girardi's first media address. That should come late this afternoon, but we don't know a time, as it depends how long organizational meetings go.
Colleagues Ken Davidoff and Jim Baumbach have all the updates from Congress on the Roger Clemens-Brian McNamee saga. I haven't gotten to see much of the hearings yet, but what I've seen has been both surreal and riveting.
Sparse crew, at least as far as major leaguers, in workouts today. Shelley Duncan was the only reporter that talked to us. He was asked a lot about steroids, and here are a few of his remarks.

"Roger was a great teammate last year. Getting to know him, he was a great man and a great influence in the clubhouse."
Regarding Andy Pettitte: "He's probably as good a role model as anybody in this country. He's a good man."
Regarding players' thoughts on steroids: "To us, the issue has been over for a long time."
Does he think Roger Clemens is guilty? "I don't care."
His best line, after saying the hearings are boring, is: "If there was a cage match between those two, that'd be a lot more fun to watch."

Duncan also talked about his health. He was hospitalized with blood clots this offseason, but is now healthy.
"I feel wonderful, like a stallion," he said.
Duncan also said having Tino Martinez work with him at first base is a huge help.

Shelley does love to talk.

I hope Tino can pull it off. Not everyone who can play can coach, but Tino has been putting in his time at the local college baseball program.
