I know there are still some people having problems posting on the blog, though it's been better than a couple weeks ago. FYI, I've been informed that some upgrades are being made to all the Newsday blogs (maybe all Tribune blogs, but I'm not sure) tomorrow and Saturday. This will result in the blog being down from midnight tomorrow night (Friday night/Saturday morning) until 6 a.m. Saturday, but hopefully after that the problems will be fixed.

The Yankees and Robinson Cano are close to a four-year, $30 million contract, according to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal.
Either Cano's agent was lying Tuesday when he said no discussions had taken place or this has come together as quickly as any deal in history. A four-year contract would take Cano right to free agency. He was a super-two player this year, so he was going to have four years of arbitration. Jan. 24 - 1:25 pm et

Nope, doesnt affect me. Im never on during the weekends or after work, only weekdays during work.. I dont want to be anywhere near a computer when I leave here. That means no entries Friday night/Saturday/Sunday day. Every once in a while Ill come on Sunday nights.

Of course Clemens' video is still there. What do you expect from such inept sports writers coupled with their totally inept technical staff? Except for Kat, Newsday has the worst sports reporting I've ever seen both in print and on the web. The Newsday sports section (especially the Yankees section) is nothing more than a sports rag sheet.
