Yankees up 4-2 after 4

The Yankees lead 4-2 after four innings.
Alex Rodriguez hit a two-run homer in the third inning, which followed Derek Jeter's two-run single. Rodriguez now has 54 homers and 153 RBIs. Just four times in the last 40 years has a player topped 153 RBIs.
The Orioles scored one run in the second off Mike Mussina. Jay Payton hit a two-out triple that got past Bobby Abreu, and Scott Moore singled him home. In the third, Tike Redman scored after singling and stealing second.

Holy Cow!
Victor Zambrano!

How appropriate that he shows up when people talk about the Mets lack of pitching?

Kazimir would have helped the Mets a little this year

WHY do you give us these updates??? we can find this information out anywhere, give us some perspective please

Anonymous -- when i don't give them, people ask why. if you don't want them, don't read them.

That's pretty rude, Anon.

Don't be a jackass.

I think the Yankees should wear cotton uniforms, as opposed to polyester. At least for the playoffs.

Mary,

I don't know what thread you're on -- I've looked back but not enough time between innings to search all the old threads around here -- don't know which comment of mine you're referring to but it doesn't matter, welcome to the blog, hope you enjoy our discussions. Now back to the game!

Anon,

Why are you picking on poor, defenseless Kat O'Brien?

She's a 5th degree black belt trained as a ninja.

YOU'd better watch your step!

Sully,
When I saw that Zambrano was coming into the game I said the same thing to myself.

Holy $hit!

Now I'm talking to myself!!!

I agree with above. If we're going to blog, obviously, we're following the game. Blogs that just give updates of the games are useless. Please give some more useful inside info.
