Mike Mussina just gave up four runs in the bottom of the fifth, getting hit hard. It's only been a few weeks since his three awful starts, and given how well Phil Hughes pitched last night against the Devil Rays, I'm sure some people will be clamoring to see Hughes pitch in the playoffs.
Johnny Damon just hit a solo home run to put the Yankees back up 8-6.
A note on Alex Rodriguez, who is 2-for-3 with a double, a homer and three RBIs: he now has 1501 career RBIs and 1500 career runs scored. Just three other players hit the 1,500 RBI mark at age 32 or before--Jimmie Foxx, Lou Gehrig and Mel Ott. Just two got to 1,500 runs scored--Foxx and Ott.

Fun with stats. Name that Yankee pitcher:
Over their last 5 starts, these are their numbers (answers to be revealed during the game):
The numbers are in the following order:
IP/Start|ERA|WHIP|K/9
A: 5.93|2.73|1.18|5.46
B: 6.07|4.45|1.58|6.23
C: 6.60|3.27|1.39|4.91
D: 5.27|3.76|1.41|4.44
E: 5.40|4.67|1.48|6.33
Just based on this sample size, you would pitch these guys as:
Game 1 A
Game 2 C
Game 3 D
Game 4 B
Bullpen E
Who do you think is who?
Thank you to those that played the game. I thought this would be easy actually. Based on my name, you HAD to know, I would choose something that made Huges number one. So, he has the best numbers in this little game.
Answers:
A: Hughes
B: Pettite
C: Wang
D: Mussina
E: Clemens
Scores:
Sully: 1/5
John G.: 3/5
Ben Dover: 5/5 (not sure if he looked it up though, he seems the type)
Larry: I do a lot of things without safety nets and numbers. But when it comes to baseball, i encourage you to read the current debates on http://mvn.com/milb-yankees/
The last two articles (moneyball & tabata) have great comments arguing going with your gut and stats. The end result is you can quantify gut. Like I said in the steals arguement, stats support the end result for doing things situationally. You use stats for "normal situations" and combine guts with stats for special situations. Stats say that attempting to steal hurts a team more often than not. I agree with the stats. I do not say though, "never steal". Rather I say steal smarter. Most teams/players do not and in ends up costing them runs (I posted some of the numbers yesterday, but you can see more on mvn). Anyway, I go back and forth and do what makes sense. The numbers prove that I'm not sensationalizing something. It's easy to think that "steals win championships" or "steals end curses" if you think about Dave Roberts, but come on, get real. HUGE moments stand out in our minds, but as EJ Fagan pointed out during the debate today, the 1926 World Series ended when Babe Ruth was caught stealing second. Who was at the plate? Lou Gehrig.
*Hughes
To go further Larry, I posted that sample set to say that DESPITE 3 solid starts by Mussina, that I STILL think Hughes should be the #4 starter. Tonight just reaffirmed that stance. If Clemens can't go, the Hughes should be the #3. I also wanted to reaffirm that he should not be traded for Santana.
To me, as much as I shout things and try and get them across, at the end of the day, the numbers are there.
Those of you that don't think much of stats, I understand what you're saying. But the thing is, you have 27 outs to score more runs than your opponent, so your goal is to do things that increase your run total or limit the opponents run total. Every action can be compared to how it helped or hurt that goal. Everything can be quantified.
The problem with stats is how do you accurately compare them, do you have an appropriate sample size, and are you avoiding generalizations or league wide averages at times when you should use specific data.
My stats example would've been more useful if I had offered those stats in comparison to the average pitching performance against those teams for the rest of the year, so that their stats could be held in a real context. Most of those guys played the same teams for the most part, so it's a relatively fair comparison (with exception to Clemens).
Larry: Have you ever seen Along Came Poly with Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston? I'm not THAT extreme, but friends have joked. Mainly because the title of my group used to be Risk Advisory Services (we dropped the term risk and now are just considered Advisory Services). Anyway, they thought it was quite amusing.
I never compare my body weight to the alcohol content of my drinks to determine how many I can drink and not die. I always try for new highs in that regard, blind of all statistics.
Mariano chocking tonight.
If Torre puts Sardinha on the postseason roster to pinch run for Jeter then there is proof that he is incompetent. You don't pinch run for Jeter.
Unless you are in a meaningless end-of-regular-season game and you're saving his knee for the post-season.
The game wasn't totally meaningless. We still had a chance to win the division.
But this is definately a sign that Jeet's knee isn't just "no big deal" as he says.
All I know is, regardless of the score of these next two games, we BETTER NOT SEE MARIANO FOR THE REST OF THE WEEKEND.
We are now officially playing meaningless games and we should be resting our bullpen for the playoffs. Lord knows Vizcaino and Mo are beat and Joba could pull a Bucholz any day.
That was extremely ugly. I mean can anyone say anything good about this game? How can this team feel confident in it's # 4 starter, closer, DH etc. after this nonsense.
As I say a lot, I'm a worry wart when it comes to the Yanks and tonight didn't make me feel too good.
John G: After Mo's performance today, are you taking him off the postseason roster? It would be consistent with the way you analyzed Britton based on one bad pitch against Toronto.
Jim A: I am trying to convince everyone that hughes is our number 4 starter. I've been angling that way all day.
Now I can give my official congratulations to Sully and Cas for winning the division.
Okay, I didn't like what I saw from Mo tonight. He kept falling behind in the count and got that pitch up in the hitter's zone to Payton.
I said it before (twice tonight) and I'll say it again:
Giambi sucks.
Joe must have him on the post season roster for defensive purposes cause he ain't hittin'!
I just want to win 1 out of 2 so that we don't lose 70 games this season. For some reason, losing 70 bothers me.
I recant all of the nice things that I said about Moose. Jim A was right about him.
As I read Bucholz's unhappy remarks about going home with a dead arm, I was very grateful for the Joba rules, and in general for the way the Yankees have been treating the whole issue of controlling the number of pitches and the number of innings pitched by our young arms.
Casual Observer and Sully,
Congratulations on your team's clinching the division, and on your getting through the ups and downs with your sanity intact. Enjoy the victory.
HUGHES YOU DINGBAT... BEN DOESN'T HAVE TO LOOK ANYTHING UP. LIKE ALL REAL YANKEE FANS YOUR SILLY QUIZ WAS QUITE EASY...
HUGHES HAS WON HIS LAST THREE...PETTITE HAS NOT WON SINCE AUGUST...CLEMENS AND MOOSE HAVE NOT LASTED AND WANG HAS PITCHED THE MOST INNINGS.
LET MEET GUESS YOUR TYPE. A LOSER WHO HAS NO INSIGHT OF HOW THE GAME IS PLAYED AND ONLY REPEATS WHAT HE READS. SITS AT HIS COMPUTER WITH A STAT BOOK IN ONE HAND AND A HOT DOG IN THE OTHER.
Jim,
Easy there Cowboy (err, Redskin)
The Yanks will be fine. You were right about Moose. I really wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but He's gotta be in the pen if he's on the roster. Hughes should get the call if Clemens can't go.
As I said, I didn't like what I saw from Mo tonight, but maybe he just needed to get the bad game out of his system.
Hey, it could be worse!
We could have looked like the Met fans sitting at Shea tonight after their game was over.
They don't look too happy.
HYD,
He's out!!!
Just kidding.
That's not true Bro. Britton gave up 2 bad pitches to consecutive hitters in that game.
So there! Nayh (that's me sticking my tongue out at you.).
Seriously, I'm not sold on Britton. I think that some of the other guys can do a better job.
I like the guys that I named for the pen, but I ain't the pitching coach; Gator is.
Although Mike nominated me for the job. LOL
Just one of those games.
So I got 60% on your quiz, huh?
Down with Moose, up with Hughes!
Yes...you were out smarted by Ben Dover. That's sad considering that moron used to think the joke was Bend Dover. Seriously.
I don't like Veras John G. I can't like Veras. His track record is not good.
Ben: Are you saying that silly Yankee fans are easy? That's what you typed. Sadly for you, most Yankee fans don't bend over.
I'm pretty sure that anyone on this blog knows i have far superior baseball analysis to yours.
HUGHES YOU DINGBAT
SERIOUSLY THAT WAS A HOT DOG IN YOUR OTHER HAND.
Oh great, now I get to deal with Ben and the anonymi
HUGHES YOU DINGBAT
WHAT YOU HAVE IS A STAT BOOK AND VERY LITTLE INSIGHT OF THE GAME.
STOP PETENDING YOU PATHETIC LOSER.
I never was good at taking tests.
I'm not too upset that I was beat.
I beat Sully! :-) He got 20%.
As I said, I liked what I saw from Veras the other night and again last night. If he can get ahead in the count, I like his fastball better than I like Britton's. You're the stat guy and you keep track of this stuff. The numbers support you as far as that goes.
Anyway, I guess that we'll know the roster by Monday.
1. Learn to type
2. Explain how you know anything more about baseball than me?
I have the best predicting track record on the blog. Clearly I know what I'm talking about. You? A history of people betrothing you.
HYD, welcome to my world of dealing with the Anons and BENs of the board.
Ohlendorf has the best stuff and the highest upside. But right now, it's gotta be Britton. Though Ohlendorf has the potential for a Joba like run going into the playoffs. You see, this is where I balance the stat stuff. His stats for the entire year do not support it, but I've seen that he's so close to putting it together and that on nights when he has it, he's sharp.
It's one thing I don't miss on my other regular blog. The idiocy is few and far between.
Thank God this division thing is over... and for 2 days it will feel good.
And then next week it will mean exactly gotch
I believe we will hear less from Ben, Anonymous the Lesser, and that racist nutcase if we ignore their posts. They seem to post more and more when they get attention.
Okay guys, time to say "Adios".
I'm beat.
See you all tomorrow. :-)
HYD
STICK TO SUPPORTING YANKS, NOT PROVIDING WORTHLESS STAS. YOU HAVE BECOME A POINTLESS RICK KEYES OR A SANE ANT COLONY, PLUS THE STATS, IF YOU WILL.
AND JOHN G., ARE YOU GAY. NOT HAPPY-LIKE, BUT HOMOSEXUAL? MUCH OF YOUR POSTS ARE JUST COMICAL, RIGHT OUT OF "BIRDCAGE"!
HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT ANALOGY SULLY? CONGRATS, BUT YOU ARE A RED SOX FAN, NEVER FORGET YOUR TEAM'S USELESS HISTORY, SUCH AS WHAT HYD ALWAYS POSTS....USELESS TEAM HISTORY.
Ben: You're not fit to carry my jock. I must say that I love the flattery of your envy though.
Ben: You're not fit to carry my jock. I must say that I love the flattery of your envy though.
Name one USEFUL thing you've EVER posted Ben?
You're worse than the guys who disagree with stats because at least most of them understand it somewhat. I don't even think you comprehend stats, the theories behind Moneyball, or what Sabermetrics are.
Well that loss was just bad all around.
Does it matter?
Yes put Hughes out there in the Playoffs and have Mike ready to come in for long relief. No problem.
Sad to watch the Mets fail like this .. as I said with Kazmir and Bannister they would not be in this position ... Had the Phillies had Meyers and Hamels all year then what?
Any way, who cares, it is just baseball right?
Hughes YD,
Why even respond? You have a lot of good baseall things to say ... and you are a smart guy ... again what do you have to prove?
Nothing.
Just write your baseball stuff ... it is good ...and you have taught me a lot ...
You don't have to say how much you know about baeball or who has the better posts ... yours are mostly excellent. I read your report on the Angels ... you are pretty smart ...
If Ohlendorf has the best stuff and decent control, then leave him on the team for the Playoffs.
This team will be a monster for years to come.
What is the status on signing Mo, Jorge and A Rod?
I don't think the Mets will make it ... the Yanks are a New York world unto themselves, is there even a rivalry anymore? I don't sense it ... If we played them right now the Yanks would annihilate the Met.
Watching Omar's ethnic cleansing bite him is sad to see but maybe he will learn from it ... and the fans and the city and the nation will look at it as an example of going too far ... it's illiberal.
But we are not our mistakes ... He's made a lot of great trades too ... amazing trades. But there is a limit to ethnic cleansing ... it always turns sour.
Mussina provided false hope - inlike HYD I have wanted Kennedy to pitch game 4, but would take Hughes over Moose - as I have said Moose will defeintly give up 4 or 5 runs ---hughes may not be ready for the playoffs and may gice up 9, but there is also a good chance he goes up and gives up 1.
Lets see if Joe has lerned something from the fact that kidss have saved his season - not the high priced Mussina, Giambi, and even Clemons. Throw Hughes in Game 4 if the Yanks pull the sort series. If its the long series than it is moot.

olendordf is a high risk/high rewqrd guy. He has had stretches in the minors where he has been great, but others where he was aweful. FOr me, I will take that electric stuff over a guy with better control, but very hittable pithes.
You put olendorf in a game and if looks wild you get him out
Joe is going to take experience over talent every day so Olendorf wont make it. Britton while not really a veteran has been up and down the majors and minors for 10 years will get the call
Collectiviely,
what does everyone take from tonights performance from MO? Worried about him?
Had to add so because I am listening to the FAN. There have been 3 so-called yankee fans who are pulling for the mets.
Do you guys think that people like this exist?
Yankee Fans rooting for the mets
If it comes down to Britton and Ohlendorf, there is no chance Torre is going to take Britton.
I'd be surprised if Ohlendorf is not on the postseason roster.
There is a bit of a buzz in the clubhouse lately with Ohlendorf and he has clearly gotten the job done with the few opportunities he's had.
Edwar has pitched himself out of the postseason roster and Torre hasn't been a fan of Britton all season.
Don't forget Ohlendorf was hurt for a long stretch of the year. I think he will wind up being useful. He was the centerpiece for Randy Johnson, and they took paying more money for him then they would've taken if they'd have gotten Ownings. I'm not saying he'll be as good, but it is what it is, he has a high ceiling and I'm happy with him. Hell, throw him out there next week, like people have been saying, any of the teams that are in from the AL can win the whole thing.
I'm also sad to see the Mets flounder like this. I shouldn't care, but I'm not going to root against the home team. Just sad.
Jim -- you're the man.
Tonight was a tough loss, but who cares, we're in. I loved how the O's were celebrating like they won the pennant. See you next year.
Looking forward to posting next week...
Thank you Marianne..
And, thank you Mo....even though it has little to do with the post season (other than being assured of starting the series at Fenway)...it is sweet to lay claim to the division.
Now that it's over...on to October baseball BABY!....that's where it's really at!
Anyone think that the Sox and Yanks wont meet in the post season?
It could just as easily be Indians vs Angels
Chris: 10 years on Britton? What are you talking about? The guy is 24 years old. He didn't play in the minors at 14.
The reason he should make the team is his effectiveness. Especially against lefties. They only have batted .125 against him.
Please skip this if you object to another team being mentioned here.
Questions:
1. The few Mets fans that I personally know are passionate and loyal, but Shea has been emptying out early most nights as fans head for the exits when the team gets behind. What's that about? Bandwagon fans? Or fans who can't bear to watch as their beloved team goes down?
2. We have had a few mean-spirited Mets fans come here to gloat when they were winning and we weren't, but I've been checking Mets blogs for the past couple of days and they seem FLOODED with cruelly taunting Yankees fans. Is it weird that I am even more repelled when my own act this way?
Marianne:
1. I don't think it has all that much to do with the fans being bandwagon. At all games, there are a percentage that leave based on avoiding the subway, other mass transit, and traffic rushes. Add to that the depressing and uninspired performance and the urge to leave increases. Not to mention the 7th inning beer cut-off. Yeah, the numbers are higher than normal, but these fans are shocked and in disgust. Which leads me to...
2. I don't necessarily condone it, but they deserve it. MOST of the Mets fans i know and read, were "giving it to the Yankees" all year. It was off base, but I stayed pretty quiet. They weren't going to understand reason, statistics, or my belief that it would be turned around. A week ago, I sent an email to two good friends at work. One a Pirate fan, one a Met fan. I asked three questions, similar to what I would normally. One Yankee question, one Pirate question, one Met question. Will the Yanks overcome the Sox? Who will the Pirates next GM be? Do you believe the Mets will fall out of the playoff picture with the surge of the Phillies?
Their responses were that the Yanks would not, the Pirates would be better off with anyone, and that the Phillies bullpen wasn't good enough to overtake the Mets. I retorted with some stats (I'll spare most of them), but really hammered home two points: 1. the Phillies 12 - 6 record against the Mets and 2. the Mets' then 5 game losing streak. Meaning, that clearly the bullpen struggles meant nothing when they played head to head and no matter how many games the Phillies bullpen might blow over the next two weeks, it means nothing if the Mets can't win a few themselves.
They painted themselves into a corner. They acted like they were the toast of the town all year. They thought they were Yankee fans even. Then it happened. The Yanks started winning and even the nonasshole Met fans that had taken casual jabs were shutting their mouths. A lot of them wouldn't even talk baseball. They were nervous and now, they're hurting.
Granted, where I live these days, I run into more Phillies fans than Mets, but still.
I hope Torre realizes that after the way Mussina pitched tonight he should not be allowed to start a playoff game. He looked terrible last night, and while so did alot of other pitchers on both sides-Mussina needed to continue to show us something.
Ohlendorff should be on the playoff roster. Remember he was a starter early in the season and then had a back injury. He said since moving to the bullpen he has gained about 5mph on his fastball which consistently hits 95-97. He also mentioned getting bite on his slider since his transition to the pen. He is a Princeton grad with a good mind for knowing how to pitch.
I beg you Joe, do not add Veras, Britton or the Sean Henns of the world
Also, doesn't Tyler Clippard, DeSalvo or even Igawa warrant the starting assignment on Sunday over Henn?
Do you think Joe Torre's favorite drink of green tea may have some "wacky tabbaccy in there?"
HYD,
It's true they did overdo the 'toast of the town' theme, and I wasn't sure why it was such a relentless point of emphasis, until I saw a Mets fan blogging that just once he wanted, not a subway series, but a World Series in New York that was just about the Mets, without the Yankees getting a huge share of the limelight. Sounded sort of poignant, really, even though I couldn't truly empathize -- I want the Yankees to win it all, of course, but I don't mind when the Mets get in the WS, I even tend to like thinking that everything New York is at the top.
Thanks for the response and I will now return to respectability and discuss the team we're really here to talk about. Uneasy about Mo? Think we're getting close to the day when the NYY have to worry about a whole nine innings, like mere mortals do?
yanksfanmc,
I can't think of any reason for giving Henn a start over those other guys except maybe Henn's the one they're least likely to want for anything after this week?
LET'S GO INDIANS!!!!
One of the Mets fans has made it to our blog...
HUGHES YOU DINGBAT AND THE REST OF YOUR PATHETIC LOSERS...TAKE NOTICE THAT BEN IS ON A MISSION...THE FREE RIDE IS OVER FOR YOU ANAL RETENTIVE IDIOTS WHO ARE INCAPABLE OF RATIONAL THOUGHT...GO BACK TO YOUR FANTASY LEAGUE,REHAB OR MOLESTING YOUR DOGS. IT'S TIME REAL YANKEE FANS WHO KNOW THE GAME TO STEP UP AND RID THE BLOG OF THIS NEST OF NITWITS.
AND THAT INCLUDES YOU SULLY SNUFFLES. YOU PHONY PECKER SNIFF. INSTEAD OF TELLING YANKEE FANS WHAT'S WRONG WITH THEIR TEAM WHY DON'T YOU TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR TEAM...BETTER YET WHY DON'T YOU GET A JOB AND STOP THE CHARADE OR DID YOUR LIFE CHOICES MAKE YOU UNHIRABLE.
Five reasons I don't feel sorry for the Mets:
1. In 2004 they acted like Red Sox fans by becoming thrilled that they Yankees lost -- but worst than that, all they did was harass Yankees fans for choking -- the new buzz word for Yankee haters -- as if they had something to do with the RS win. The Mets sportswriters were evil and vicious -- esp. Lupica who always trashes the Yankees and praises the Mets.
2. Whenever the Mets have better stats than the Yankees -- esp. in 2006 where they went farther into the WS than the Yankees and in the beginning of 2007 -- they boldly announced they are the New Kings of New York, that they are now New York's Best Baseball Team, that they now OWN New York -- and that the Yankees have become insignificant losers.
3. During that time, Mets fans laughed in my face whenever the Yankees lost a game or they won a game.
4. Mets fans bashed and insulted Jeter because Reyes was having a good year -- or a few good months.
5. Mets fans think our history doesn't matter when their stats are better than the Yankees. They become disrespectful towards the Yankees who have achieved enough in the past century to earn recognition and respect. They don't have to be Yankees fans, but they should respect the Yankees for their accomplishments -- just as Yankee fans should respect the Mets for their achievements.
BEN is 13 by the way
There's a movie on right now (The Park is Mine) with Tommy Lee Jones who is wearing green army fatigues and a traditional blue Yankees hat. Perfect timing for this movie with the Yankees hat suggesting Yankees are ready to take back New York and are ready to battle back to another World Series win.
Let's go Yankees in 2007.
Thanks for that biographical info -- we can afford to be tolerant of the barely pubescent. After all, we've been there, and it's important to remember that the generation gap goes only one way. We can remember what it was to be immature, they can have no notion in the world what it is to be mature.
So Ben...I've been waiting...what is it that YOU, the self proclaimed king of all Yankee fans is going to offer up?
How many hours did you spend looking up words in the dictionary/thesaurus to generate that posting? Clearly you read about an 8th grade level. Congratulations.
But seriously, why don't you respond to ANYTHING I say then? Why don't you offer some insight? Why not debate some of the statistics I have thrown out there to SUPPORT my arguements? Why don't you make a prediction once in a while and explain it? Instead, you're a loser struggling with adolescence.
I think Ben is right on the money Sully. He seems to have you figured out. And Marianne when you speak of immaturity is it with a blind eye towards the crassness, vulgarity and boorishness displayed by your cronies. Do they get a pass because they tend to reinforce your point of view?
Let's be fair if Ben is immature what does the character of HYD reveal.
Figured me out?
I didn't realize there was anything mysterious to figure out
My character? Pretty obvious, I'm defensive and stand by my points. I despise idiots and want the guy to have enough of a pair to have a real debate.
Wouldn't expect "Cashman" to understand since whoever he is, he's either 1. new, or 2. a poser.
I've always loved that geniuses like Anon, BEN and now Cashman try to figure me out when from my first posting I made it clear:
I'm a Red Sox fan who was fed up with bonehead Red Sox fans, I lived in NYC for 15 years and like talking baseball with Yankee fans.
Meanwhile Anon thinks I'm trying to promote my blog, BEN thinks I don't point out what is wrong with the Red Sox (which I do constantly) and the genius Cashman "has me figured out."
Oh well... a bunch of 12 and 13 year olds want to talk smack, what are you going to do?
Sully: Like I said in a posting last night, enjoy the flattery of their envy.
Mets game starts soon
I want a one game playoff between Philly and the Mets
I went onto the Mets blog today for the first time and I cannot believe that they are devoting their time to bashing the Yankees - rooting for the Indians - and bringing up 2004. Its funny how they bring up the past now, but earlier in the season and even last year all we heard was "forget about 2000 and the fact that we have no title since 86, live in the present - we are a better team now" I am paraphrasing of course, but all of you who listen to the FAN or are lucky enough to have a friend or relative who is a MUT fan knows what I am talking about.
Its kind of pathetic that their team is still very much alive and they have already resorted to Yankee bashing.
sorry about misquting Britton's service time - thought he was older because he has pitched for a number of organizations already (unless I am getting him confused with someone else).
Anyway, for the sake of this team I really hope Mussina doesnt see the ball in the ALDS. If the team makes it to the ALCS - maybe you consider it as he will have had a tn of rest and I am not sure I want Hughes pitching at Fenway or even Anaheim where he had an aweful start this season.
and what's with the HYD bashing and for that matter the Sully bashing - true he is a Red Sox fan which is a character flaw that I am sure he was born with and cant help, but his posts are very intelligent and fairly objective both toward the Yankees and Red Sox. I actally enjoy hearing a Sox fans point of view toward things happening with the Yankees. Don't get me wrong, I hate the Sox with every fiber of my being as should every true yankee fan, but just because this is a yankee blog doesnt mean that fan's of other teams, even the Sox, can't have a valid points.
HYD
Your a sleeze that got caught in a squeeze. Your jock that you refer to must be on backwards. This guy set you up and let you make a fool of yourself.
Marianne
It's amusing how Sully gets people in here to play his monkey. He makes a bogus comment about Ben being 13 and you hop all over it.
Can you imagine if the World Series was Cubs/Indians?
How could one of those teams POSSIBLY win?
I assumed Ben was 13... what else could explain his post?
As for HYD, back it up Jake.
What did he write that was wrong?
Also it is "you're" not "your."
You learn that in 4th grade
Sully
Don't mangle my words. It doesn't take a genius to figure you out, one size fits all.Your not worth the ragging.
Jake: I've made no fool of anyone but Ben. He's been called out to show his Yankee stripes and came up blank. Who are you anyway? Where did you come from? Your voice means nothing.
Chris: You must be thinking of someone other than Britton. He was a rookie with the Orioles last year.
Probably Edwar. He's journeyed around a little and been released by the Angels a couple of times.
What words did I mangle?
I asked you to explain yourself...
you wrote
"I think Ben is right on the money Sully. He seems to have you figured out."
Please enlighten us
Cashman... did you and Jake go to the same school?
It's "you're"
What you assumed is that everyone in here drinks your Kool-Aid.
The more you procrastinate the more your credibility slips. You can't defend HYD actions the guy is a jerk.
Sully
If the Mets and Phils tie for NL east division doesnt it go down to "Head to Head" record between the two?
What actions are indefensable? Calling out an poser (or three)?
Thanks for making no sense, Jake.
PTRS, if the Padres have a better record than the Mets and Padres, then it would come down to a one game playoff between Philly and the Mets
Hughes... ignore the kid. I gave him a chance to make sense and he decided to, well... make NO sense
Let's stick to talking baseball
The Phillies would get the game at home based on head to head though.
What's sad is that if it comes down to one game, the Mets could take it even though they've lost 12/18 to the Phillies.
Sully
You are nothing more than a sick delusional bull $hit artist. You fool some but not all.
Cashman, you had the chance to explain yourself. You passed on it.
