Torrential rains in Detroit

I just saw the heaviest rain I may have ever seen in my life. It's back to a normal level of rain now, but for the last 20 minutes, the downpour was absolutely torrential. On the news, they showed some flooded highways. Supposedly the storm is supposed to pass, but I'll let you know when/if they make a decision on starting this game.

They aren't going to get this game in. With the rain as heavy as Kat said it was, that field must look like Lake Michigan.

Just what we need;
another doubleheader.

Great!!!

I TOLD YOU TO PRAY FOR RAIN BUT NOT FOR FRIDAY!!

THIS IS ROGER'S START!!

It looked scary out there at 7. Hopefully it clears up as soon as possible. I want to see some baseball!

If there is a double-header, will we need to call up Kennedy or another pitcher?

The nice thing about the rain out is it will help the Yankees combat jet lag

To quote Nuke LaLoosh...
I love winning
It's better than losing

Kat - whats the story? game on?

Yankees.com says the game will start at 10

They took the tarp off. It's back on. It's raining lightly. Players are in the dugout and believe the game is on. No official word has EVER been given to us. No idea what's happening.

Lord, let there be baseball. The rain delay show on Channel 9 is too lame for words.

I agree. Why can't Channel 9 put something good on to kill the time?

I don't want to go 2 days without baseball!

is 10 p.m. a confirmed time? as if the 3 10p.m. games in LAA weren't tiresome.

This is really sucky.

So far with no game all I can find to occupy the time is YouTube.com ...

Arnold S. bed time skit

Ecstasy commercial (hysterical)

Sopranos spoof (edited for network TV, very funny)

And add to that the Jessica Simpson segement ...

But I am having baseball withdrawal ...

This rain in the Midwest is just unreal. It's like Africa or Thailand rain and such wind!

Say hi to Gary Sheffield ...

If you have Baseball withdrawal get MLB Extra Innings or MLBTV. Whinning Yankee fans......

Oh and since you seem out of touch I will give you an update. Yankees are still in 2nd place and about to go 6 games back without touching the ball. Just helping out...

Oh forgot the Yankees are 2 games out of wild card with Seattle tied at 2 in Texas. 29 and 35. Tick-Toc the clock is ticking away.
PS- Since Yankee fans usually don't know what 29 & 35 means since its been awhile, that is your elimination number.

The Yankees should note Seattle has like 3 or 4 games in hand, is that true? If so, that is mucho suckiola as they say in Brazil.

Yankees aren't making the playoffs, peeps.

Better show some 'spect for the Mariners, yo.

I just quickly signed online and checked this blog to see if there were updates to the game tonight. I noticed that there are actually people that are such losers that not only are they online on a friday night, but they are fans of other mlb teams and posting on the fan sites of opposing teams. Like how much of a loser to you have to be? I guess it comes with not winning consistently

Mark we are here every night no matter what ...

Should we be out drunk driving or something ...? We're not 15 anymore ... Friday night means R E S T.

When you work 90 hours per week, there is no Friday night, or Wed. morning ... there's just W O R K ...

There are many great people on this blog, Sully, Ruse, Viper, Diane, Kat, A. Rieber, John G., a certain woman in pink with a name that starts with "L" whom I am not presently talking to thank you very much and many others ... like Michael PTRS, Nudge ... Chip(s) Ahoy, Anonymous ... Ed is new but very smart ... all of them are good people ... Bronx Bomber does engineering ... to call them losers is a big mistake. They are great!

I may not always agree with them but they have all taught me so much and I treasure each and every one of them.

I heart Ant

Mark was talking about "fans of other mlb teams and posting on the fan sites of opposing teams." Learn how to read, Ant Colony.

Sully is still on this site at 1:03 am? Wow. All day, all night, Sully never abandons his post. I guess he's the new 24-hour Newsday Red Sox blogger stationed here to remind us that the Red Sox are ahead of the Yankees in the standings. Thanks for your dedication, Sully.
