The Mets lead 1-0 after four innings. So far, Carlos Gomez is the Mets' star of the game. He scored their only run, with a single, a steal and then scoring on Jose Reyes's single. He ended the fourth inning for the Yankees with a leaping catch at the left field wall to pull in a Miguel Cairo fly ball. He then threw to second to double off Hideki Matsui.
