Karstens in question?

OK, now Jeff Karstens may be experiencing health problems. He felt stiffness in his right elbow and the Yankees pulled him after two innings. Heh said it was more of a precaution than anything, but did acknowledge that it could be a problem.
"If I'm not 100 percent healthy, I'm not going to be able to help the team anyway," Karstens said.
Karstens was knocked around by the Tigers in his first outing since Chien-Ming Wang's hamstring injury, which seemed to lock up a rotation slot for Karstens. He gave up six earned runs in two innings, allowing six hits and walking two.

Ok, who's next just step up here. Try this uniform on for size. Where did you say that you played? How does it fit? Ok, get out there and show us what you got.

Thank God, BC stocked the minors with pitchers?

What, a player with stiffness pulled for precautionary reasons? It's beginning to sound like a Spring Training broken record to me. However, it's a great opportunity for the antsy-pantsy panickers to get their daily quota of "Oh, my God, what are we going to do???!!!"

Hey, but I'm glad I can click on "Yankees" news in the Yankees Sports section of Newsday and read that National League pitcher Randy Johnson had a great Spring Training outing. Wow, talk about reasons to become depressed with angst and regret!!!

Let's hope Karstens is OK...Larry I guess next up would be Rasner ...then Hughes or Sanchez or Ohlendorf or Clippard...by the way does anyone know what the latest is on Humberto Sanchez ? Is his elbow OK ?is he throwing of the mound ?

Lucy : Do I sense a bit of sarcasm in your tone ?...maybe we can get Gloomy to write another "poem" or whatever that was ...

Moi, sarcastic??? Never happen. Gloomy's poem actually works very well within the context of this blog. It may be time for an encore from him.

Ruse, all I know is, if I'm looking for an injury report, this is the place to be. It appears that many downtrodden Yankees fans gravitate to this blog. I'm just trying to cheer them up.

Lucy: I'm not depressed over the events. I was making light of the situation with the injuries. I believe that there are many ballplayers who can fill in for a star if given the oppt. And the team not missing a beat. In other words I believe the Yanks will be there at the end!

Larry, your post really was amusing and I could tell you were making light of the situation. I wasn't referring to you, actually. I was speaking in general about the climate surrounding this blog site in its entirety, not just this thread. I'm just trying to cheer up our depressed fellow-fans with my acerbic wit and biting humor.

I haven't been around all weekend. Did I miss all the -- trade Pavano now posts? Or the Karstens should pitch and Pavano should be shipped?
