Your Tax Money at Work
Our colleagues at the New York Post were kind enough to send us this photo of yours truly in action with the copper today at the A-Rod book signing. Honestly, I'm an innocent bystander in this whole mess. Long story short, the book publicists felt A-Rod had done enough talking to reporters, so they started ushering us away -- while he was still talking! Well, I wasn't going to be rude to the third baseman, so of course I stayed. Until I felt an arm start pulling me away. As anyone would do, I pushed the arm of the stranger off me and got back to work. Next thing I know, I have this fellow screaming in my face, telling me children listen better than I do. The photo you see is of me reminding him that he put his hand on me and he had no right to do so. Fortunately tempers cooled before anything crazy (arrest) happened. And don't worry, witnesses reported seeing Robocop leave the bookstore with a signed copy of A-Rod's book.

Good for standing up for yourself Jim-I respect all Cops but these guy sounds out of line-In no way should he be putting his hands on you. Looks like a real tool in the pic too. And what's up with A-Rod not having your back? :)

I am suprised the cops even attended this. Don't they usually stand out in Times Square with their hands on there belts taking pictures with the tourist girls and waiting to get off shift so they can go back to the hotel with them(most are married by the way). Good job Jim. Write a whole article on these pigs and call out each and every one of these "tuff guys". It's okay Jim if you end up going to jail at one of these events Baumbach boys got your back. By the way how come he was not pushing that blonde out as well? Were they thinking with the other head like they always do? Real professionals I see.

NYPD is the best department in the world. The cop,who was off duty and working for the store,was only doing his job. Not mentioned was the freeloading reporter who tossed a baseball at A-Rod asking him to sign it. Was that you Jim or the two pin heads from the Post?
