We get our first look at Kei Igawa in a game setting today, albeit an intrasquad game. Joe Torre likes how Igawa has "a lot of life in his body" and is excited to see him pitch. "I’m curious how it translates itself on the mound," Torre said.

I'm very interested in seeing how Igawa looks. Give us the full scoop Jim B.
I see Sheff is in the papers today with some breaking news of his own, I know this is stunning so brace yourselves: Sheff will NOT cooperate with the G. Mitchell/Steroid investigation. I personally was stunned by this news. Sheff says "If they did it the right way" he'd cooperate. Um...and what is the right way Sheff? Under what circumstances would you cooperate?
You have to laugh at good old Sheff sometimes, the man is a character.
Sheffield is a dirt bag. And to think we could have had Vladdy if cashman had his way.
Does Igawa have a decent nickname? I've heard Iron Nerves (and Iron Beaver, which I find hard to believe), but I don't like it.
vladdy sucked under pressure too in the playoff and would have been booed out of NY he is way too sensitive
Hey Joe T., I hope Igawa has life in his arm.
How 'bout we just call Igawa "Iggy"? If he stinks, we'll call him "That Motherf*ck*r"!
Jim A: He'll get a few Bronx cheers down the road. I'm sure. How about the nickname of "crew cut"? Since, I have seen no photos of his modified to comply haircut. Where's George when we need him to bring back discipline.
Any update on Brian Bruney ?
Larry,
I haven't seen any pics of him lately. Are you saying he still has that mop of hair? Yep, that needs to go. Giambi is looking a little shaggy too. I guess that will change before things get a little more serious but you can certainly tell George doesn't have the presence at Legends Field that he once did or the barber would be busy.
To Jim A:I found a photo of crew cut Igawa. It was number 40 (140) of 180 which I believe starts from the back forward.
He needs a blanket party and a crew cut. What do you think?
Larry,
I agree. I'll put a bar of soap in a sock and wail away on him...welcome to America Iggy!
