No Pictures, but Lots of News

Lotsa news today:
--Randy Johnson played catch in the outfield on Saturday and will throw off a mound Sunday. He didn't sound like the epidural helped that much, but he's going to try all he can to pitch Game 3. Figure on the Yankees making a decision Monday.
--Joe Torre announced that Gary Sheffield will indeed be the first baseman in the postseason.
--Andy Phillips, Miguel Cairo, Brian Bruney and Ron Villone made the postseason roster. Craig Wilson, Aaron Guiel, Nick Green, Darrell Rasner, Jeff Karstens and Carl Pavano didn't.
--Going into the Tigers' game on Saturday night, it's 66.7% certain the Yankees will play the Twins in the first round. The Tigers have a magic number of one to clinch the Central.
--Derek Jeter went 3-for-3 and is one point behind Joe Mauer in the batting race (.346-.345). Jeter will play Sunday. Mauer may or may not.

I think the Yankee management owes the fans and explanation. Pavano not on the playoff roster is unbelievable. He's paid 10 million a year and not picked for the playoff roster, only kidding. I could not resist.

You got me on that one larry.. I saw randy on the news throwing on flat ground I hope he doesn't experience any pain tomorrow while throwing from the mound. I hope villone can find his first half form for this playoff

What? No Pavano? Shocking!

I thought Pavano was starting Games 1 & 5?!?! There got he Yankees chances.

I just heard on ESPN that Carl Pavano will indeed make the postseason roster as a 1B, since he too is a better defensive first baseman than Giambi.

BRING ON THE TIGERS BABY!! Much better than Santana 2 games in a 5 game series, I like our chances now!!

I believe this is our best chance in the last 5 years. I hope Joe considers defense and does not play Matsui and Sheffield at the same time. I believe what another poster indicated. If, Phillips is given staedy at bats. We can forget Sheffield next year. I felt this about Crosby, too. We have given young guys opportunities and its paid off.

"Lets Go Yanks," "Win it All." Than the hot Stove league can be exciting with our dealings for 2007.
