Bernie's Greatest Hits

Andy Phillips returned to the Stadium on Friday to find that a new Gibson guitar had arrived in the mail. It’s for his wife. Phillips, who also plays, asked Bernie Williams to tune it for him, and those in the clubhouse three hours before the game were treated to an impromptu Bernie concert.
If you’re not familiar with Bernie’s musical side, do a google search on “Bernie Williams CD” and you’ll see the CD he released a few years ago called "The Journey Within". The cover art alone is worth a look.

I have not been a backer of Bernie playing the field of late but sense that he has some big hits ahead of him both on and off the field. He's a class act and deserves the fan support given.

Bernies Greatest Hits? This one is easy. Game One, 1996 ALCS, Randy Myers delivers, Bernie goes boom, Walk Off Home Run, Yanks take Game One (also known as the Jeffrey Myer game). Next, Game One, 1999 ALCS, Rod Beck delivers, Bern baby Bern, another Walk Off Home Run for Mr. Williams. Bernie has been clutch for the Yankees for the longest time, and he deserves all of the consideration he gets - and then some. I hope he will stay on for next year as well - having Bernie off the bench is still a threat. Oh, yeah - he is a pretty good guitar player too - remember the TV Commercial with John Wetland on guitar also and Paul O'Neil on drums playing "Honky Tonk Woman"? Great stuff. Bernie is a tremendous asset to the Yankees on the field, in the clubhouse and one day we will see #51 retired along with the other greats. For now, lets just win!
