Heh. I kept it quiet on my game thread.

Untouchable!

i think he will be promoted to columbus after the allstar break

why not promote him to the MLB???? cant be worse than what aaron small was giving them when he was starting

Don't rush him. He only turns 20 tomorrow. Let him finish this season in Double-A and get a full season of work under his belt, start him in Columbus next spring, and if he still is pitching like this, then maybe you can consider bringing him up sometime next summer.

All thing being equal, I think he will be a September call up, and penciled into a slot in the rotation for 2007.

Not only is he going to be really good, but because of the low salary he will earn until he is arbitration eligible, he will provide the Yankees with the ability to spend more in other areas.

Once the farm system starts pumping out talent for the major league team at a steady pace, as it's beginning to do, with the money the Yankees can spend, they will be truly unstoppable.

If Hughes is a "deal breaker" when it comes to acquiring both Soriano,(sign him long term,) and Guillen, he goes. If we want Soriano, it could come down to parting with either Hughes or Cano. No way do we let both go in 1 single transaction. If it's my call, Cano goes before Hughes.

I don't want Soriano. Certainly not for Hughes.

Jeez, Sori isn't Pujols.

Don't even mention Hughes and Sori in the same sentence. The contractual part is irrelevant.

Giambi without steroids cant hit above .266 but then he cannot throw either - his errors toniht resulted in 3(!) Fla runs; his single was meaningless, while he could do nothing with 2 on. A-rod at least can play defense and run. Sad... Just look what rel man Pappi & Manny do; how can we expect to be ahead of the Sux?
