Dan Murphy en route; Anderson headed for DL
The move won't be official until Dan Murphy actually makes it to Houston, but a team official confirmed that that he will take the place of Marlon Anderson, who is slated for the 15-day disabled list with a hamstring injury.
It's unclear if Murphy was among the handful of prospects that GM Omar Minaya was protecting before Thursday's non-waiver trade deadline, a list that seemed to include Fernando Martinez, Jon Niese, Bobby Parnell and Eddie Kunz.
But he's still a great hitter, and technically can play the corner positions in the infield as well as left -- though none of them particularly well.
Murphy was batting .308 with 13 home runs and 67 RBI in 95 games at Double-A Binghamton before his promotion to Triple-A New Orleans on Friday. It was a short stay.

Good, it would be nice to get a new youngster with some pop in the lineup. If they could only get Church back in there too.
He better freaking play. I can't take any more of that abortion of a Baseball player in Endy Chavez.
