Didn't expect the Mets to have six All-Stars like they did in 2006. But one?

I'm really surprised by the All Star selections. I can understand the Red Sox having 7, but the Cubs? Sorry, but they haven't been that dominant this year. At least the Sox can claim they are defending World Champions, and their manager is picking the reserves. And with Soriano, Fukudome and Soto getting starting nods over arguably more deserving players (McCann at catcher and Burrell, Rowand and Ankiel in the outfield), Hurdle should have compensated by leaving off a few Cub reserves for players from other teams (such as Wright over Aramis Ramirez, since he has better stats in a weaker lineup, and Dempster for practically anybody -- Dempster is this year's Trachsel, a mediocre pitcher profiting from great run support). I bet when the chips are down in Yankee Stadium and a bunch of lefties are coming up, that Hurdle and the rest of the NL coaching staff will which they'd taken Santana, Hamels or even Hurdle's own closer, Brian Fuentes, rather than Dempster (or Aaron Cook).
