Mets still pushing for bullpen help
Here we are inside the final hour and the Mets are still working hard on acquiring a relief pitcher -- their primary focus with just over 45 minutes left before the 4 p.m. deadline. Just spoke to a baseball official who said GM Omar Minaya is going to take this down to the wire and one of the most recent names to surface, as reported by SI.com, is the Nationals' Luis Ayala.
The Mets haven't thrown in the towel yet ...
