NOTES: Jerry Manuel had a lot of lineup choices to make. He decided to play Delgado against the lefty Moyer and put Aguila in left, which relegated Fernando Tatis to the bench. Manuel explained he wanted to see what Aguila can do. The Mets have quite a bit of dead wood, don't they?
Manuel also said Beltran is going to end up batting second soon if he doesn't get it going.
On the All-Star Game, the players are going to be announced tomorrow. Mets candidates are Billy Wagner, Wright, Reyes, maybe Santana. Remember how everyone thought the Mets were the best team in the NL? Hard to be the best team if the most you can scrape together is one to four All-Stars. Who do you all think should represent the Mets at Yankee Stadium on July 15?

Valentino. Pascucci. Career minor league OPS vs. LHP of nearly 1.400.
One of you beat reporter types really has to ask Omar Minaya about Valentino Pascucci and why he hasn't gotten a shot.
Dear Mr/Mrs Moderator peoson, last night, while I was blogging, ( and cruising for a man), an imposter got on the site, and said I was a Metsback. I assume they meant a Wetback, but because of most of this team hails from the "Banana Republic", they called me a Metsback, (sniff).
