Firing Rick Peterson is not going to fix the Mets. Overall he's done an excellent job with what he has to work with. The fact that the releavers aren't performing can also be blamed on when Willie inserts them into a game. All in all just a bad move
I just saw Bobby V land at LAX with a Mets hat on....coincidence?
And I saw Art Howe laughing quite a bit in the visiting dugout at Shea Stadium this weekend...any coincidence?
And I really don't get the legend of Rick Peterson...our pitching is unreliable with him, how much worse would it be with Leo Mazzone or the New Orleans PC sitting in the dugout...
And with all the rumors, why is Sandy Alomar safe? He's a worse judge of sending the runner than John Stearns was, and Stearns was horrible...
Bring back Wes Westrum
Why aren't we hearing that the Yankless are getting ready to dump their stiff, Joey G.? Their record is almost the same as the Mets, but all we hear is Willie must go. With that (best team money can buy) lineup they should have a 5 game lead by now.
Why hasn't Giuseppe Franco been fired yet?
Hey Duke of Stupid, look at our track record for winning throughout history, and then take a gander at theirs. What banana boat did you chiquita from??
I don't own the company. I dont know anything about it....
Hey Lenny. I am so sick and tired of being quoted about Yankee history. Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle are not playing on the 08 Yankees. Neither is Paul O'Neil, David Wells, Roger Clemens, or Jim Leyritz for that matter. This years Yankee team is pretty much a mirror image of the Mets with the exception that they have a worse and older starting five, are older at C, SS, 3rd, LT, and RT fields than the Mets are. Their young guns with the exception of Joba have spent more time on the trainers table then pitching for the big league club. The Duke makes valid points. Why hasn't Cashman been getting killed as much as Omar has...probably because he has been a puppet of the Steinbrenner's for years now and the only decision he got to make was to keep Hughes and Kennedy which if they would have had Johan they would probably be in a lot better shape right now. If the Mets were winning and playing up to their potential Willie wouldn't be on the firing line which he shouldn't be, Peterson would still be a Guru, and HOJO would be the hit king but they aren't. A series win in LA then a series win in Colorado they can all survive. If not the future is up to Omar. Oh and Lenny...stop the hate you racist as5.
Bring back Joe Pignatano, Eddie Yost, and Rube Walker
Hey JC in Fruitland, would you trade the current Wets and all their peospects for the Yankees...Damn straight, which I am sure you aint. Like the Kazmir trade, ha ha ha.
Thank goodness football season is around the corner. Two very lame baseball teams in NY make for a very promising football season with the champion G'men, rapidly improving J-E-T-S, and a very young and talented Scarlet Knights team down in Joy-see.
