Good news on Ryan Church, who just spoke to reporters and said he intends to play either tomorrow or Friday. Church had a CT scan after Tuesday's game and it came back clear, meaning that the blow to the head did not cause severe damage. Church said this was nothing like the Grade II concussion he suffered in spring training and he was very upbeat during the interview.
Asked what happened, Church, who it still sporting a large red bruise on his forehead said, "I got hit it in the back of the head, dragged my face on some gravel and chewed on some dirt. That's about it."
Church added that he was still spitting out small rocks late into the night.
