Reyes out of lineup
Jose Reyes walked into the clubhouse this morning carrying his own MRI results in a big yellow envelope. The Mets say they don't have the results of the test even though Willie Randolph said he "hears it's a mild strain."
So Reyes will miss Saturday's game and probably Sunday's. The Mets are off Monday. He's day-to-day, but said he doesn't expect to go on the DL. All we can do -- as reporters, as fans, as a nation -- is wait.
Luis Castillo is back in the lineup. Here they are:
Brewers
Weeks 2B
Gabe (Welcome Back, Kotter) Kapler CF
Fielder 1B
Braun LF
Hall 3B
Corey (I wear my sunglasses at night) Hart RF
Hardy SS
Sheets P
Kendall C
Yes, Brewers manager Ned Yost bats his pitcher eighth. What do you guys think of that strategy? I think it's horse-poop. All you're doing is giving the eighth spot potentially one more at-bat than the ninth spot. Ridiculous.
Mets
Pagan LF
Castillo 2B
Wright 3B
Beltran CF
Delgado 1B
Church RF
Easley SS
Schneider C
Santana P
Enjoy the game.
