Late Night with David Wright

letter.jpgLooks like David Wright has scored his third invitation to yuk it up with David Letterman. Wright will visit CBS' "Late Show" next Monday, April 14. Some other guy named Al Pacino will be there as well

As the CBS release states, Wright was first interviewed by Letterman on the program July 12, 2006, and also appeared with other members of his team to present the "Top Ten Things You Never Knew About the New York Mets" on July 26, 2007.

In case you had forgotten, here's the list. Who was the guy that read No. 4?

10 "Team forfeited Sunday's game because we were all reading 'Harry Potter'" (Paul LoDuca)

9 "'Mets' is short for 'Metrosexuals'" (Shawn Green)

8 "We all carry Blackberries so we can blog on the field" (Carlos Delgado)

7 "During the month of May, all we did was bunt" (Jose Reyes)

6 "Proud to be in the same city as our favorite talk show host, Conan O'Brien" (John Maine)

5 "We always give 110%, except on Tuesdays, when we give 111%" (Aaron Heilman)

4 "For one season in the '80's, every player on the team was named 'Mookie'" (Lastings Milledge)

3 "Our stadium nacho cheese is made with pine tar" (Marlon Anderson)

2 "Blew entire budget signing David Beckham" (Tom Glavine)

1 "We've really bonded since we started watching 'Oprah' as a team" (David Wright)

Comments (3)

I hope they give 111% this Tuesday and I hope it will be enough for a win.

They're so good, they could win at 43%.

Maybe Wright should stop doing freaking late night shows and learn to hit in the clutch. This team has ZERO clutch players.

FIRE OMAR
