Some Mets are getting healthier. Some are not.
Catcher Brian Schneider has taken a step back with his strained hamstring and is going to miss a few more days. Schneider has not played since Monday. The Mets do not believe the injury is serious, but they also expected their new catcher to be further along with less than three weeks before Opening Day.
Carlos Beltran played four innings in his first game in center field and had only one chance, so it wasn't much of a test. "Easy day," he said.
Mike Pelfrey allowed two runs in four innings.
