On the Mets beat

Well that's good news..hopefully all goes well during its further review in NY

It's great by the way that the Mets banned smoking. Of course they wouldn't ever dream of banning beer which only causes fights and drunk driving from the game and broken glass in your tires from the parking lot. But who cares about that? :-(

Preaching to the choir, Steve. As it is those who wish, as is their own personal choice and legal right, must walk to the out ramps to smoke during games. I understand not subjecting fans to second hand smoke, those who wish not to be that is, but the ramps on the outer bowl are empty during the games, save for well, smokers. Again I wish not to impinge upon, nor force what many see as a foolish habit upon anyone else. But heck one too many isn't gonna make me punch the guy in the Yankee hat, nor tell JRoll to #$%$ off in front of little children. Thus, isn't it a personal choice....Then again Aramark doesn't sell my packs of Marboro Smooth nor souvenir lighters at $7.00 a pop...

Joshua: that's funny, I can't remember when having one too many beers has made me punch someone in the face, but hey that is just me. Most of these morons that get into fights when they drink would probably still get into one sober, but at least I wouldn't have smoke being blown into my face all game long.

Steve: Last I checked they didn't sell glass containers at the games or let you leave with a beer in hand. But, hey, maybe I missed something. These are coming from the outside, where the team can't monitor everything, unless you want to pay a little more for tickets to ensure there is enough security patrol roaming the parking lot for drinkers. Of course, it could be the one's getting off the train setting the bottles down in the parking lot. Maybe we could get the team to cover the train station as well.
