Nelson Figueroa's scoreless streak ends ...

... thanks to Mike Lowell. The Red Sox third baseman opened the second inning with a long home run over the leftfield wall. That stopped Figueroa's streak at 7 1/3 innings and Boston didn'tmanny.jpeg quit there. In the third inning, the Red Sox scored three runs with two outs when Manny Ramirez delivered an RBI-single and Sean Casey added a two-run single.

Figueroa's line: three innings, five hits, four runs, four earned, two walks, one strikeout.

Sox still lead, 4-2, in top of the eighth.
