El Duque remains a mystery
Orlando Hernandez was supposed to pitch a live BP session this morning, but never made it off the bullpen mound -- and never even held a baseball in his hand. El Duque repeated his delivery a number of times using a towel and that was it. Apparently, Hernandez is still trying to get comfortable on the mound with his foot and it's taking longer than anyone expected.
With Mike Pelfrey facing the Braves today, the odds of him taking the No. 5 spot as Hernandez struggles to get healthy seem to be increasing by the day.
