Alou out 4-6 weeks

The Mets just announced that Moises Alou will have surgery tomorrow to repair a hernia and will miss the next four to six weeks. Alou was sent back to New York earlier today for further tests after complaining of discomfort in the groin area and the Mets got word of the results this evening.

Exactly what we didn't need..Alou, old and hurt..Delgado, old and hurt..let's just hope Delgado is right when he says he'll be fine..who is the favorite to play LF now? Pagan? Chavez?

This is ridiculous. Omar better start thinking about Plan B with this creaky crew.

I expect a trade for a right-handed outfielder, so perhaps the talk that pitchers Sosa, Schoeneweis and Smith are available will actually amount to something...

Why does come as no surprise?? Milledge would've easily replaced Alou!
