Santana just finished
Everyone gathered at Field 6 to see Johan Santana, but the star of the session was 25-year-old catcher, Salomon Manriquez, who took Santana deep into the trees beyond the centerfield fence.
Surprising? Sure, even for a meaningless BP session. But this was all about Santana getting his work in and he did that without a problem. Santana threw 24 pitches, mixing in his fastball and changep. We're headed to talk to him now.
