Koufax visits -- and speaks!
Living legend Sandy Koufax, a childhood friend of owner Fred Wilpon, usually makes an annual visit to Tradition Field to speak with a few of the pitchers. But today, Koufax came at the request of Billy Wagner, who wanted his help with a curve ball. Koufax worked with Wagner until his bullpen was over and then
consulted with Pedro Martinez on the adjacent mound.
In addition, Koufax, who never grants interviews, spoke to reporters for roughly six minutes. I'll try to get a few comments up a little later.
