I know this is a Mets blog, but Roger Clemens is vilified in Flushing, so readers of this site have to be giddy about seeing the Rocket stand up in front of Congress and try to wriggle his way out of this whole steroid fiasco with some verbal gymnastics.
And while he's up there, with his hand on the Bible, maybe they can ask him a few more questions, such as:
"Mr. Clemens, on the date of July 8, 2000, you drilled Mike Piazza in the head, splitting the N and Y on his batting helmet. Was that in fact intentional? Remember sir, you are under oath."
And how about this:
"Mr. Clemens, during Game 2 of the 2000 World Series, you hurled a splintered bat at Mike Piazza. How is it possible that you thought it was a baseball? Were you on any other controlled substances beyond Wistrol and HGH?"
Unfortunately, we probably won't get the answers to these questions unless there's a Mets fan on the panel. But enjoy the hearings anyway. With the kind of heat Clemens is facing, this could be a Mark McGwire situation all over again. Maybe worse.

Under oath or not, I am sure Roger Clemens will spin in the same manner he is on "60 Minutes." It should be intriguing to see if "Roger The Dodger" testifies under oath before Congress on January 16, 2008 and answers questions as to what truly was in his Rocket Fuel. And, did the bat really look like the ball when you hurledit back at Mike Piazza. By the way, did that one just get away on July 8, 2008. I am not sure why anyone should care what this cheating scoundrel mecenery has to say about anything. He is a phony and a liar. Legacy ruined for ever for Roger Clemens.
Roger can eat this, play McGwire, play Bonds, or play mobster and take the Fifth. Prime entertainment, he better put in a stronger performance than his last start. Anyway you cut it he is done.
Regarding Clemens and the Piazza bat thing, even if he did believe it was the ball (LOL), why would he be throwing the ball at Piazza? Has baseball turned into dodgeball? Does he not know that you throw the ball to the first baseman, not at the runner? Too funny. You guys are right, he will continue to lie under oath because he is a delusional loser. The hall of fame voters should just say no.
