The East Hampton Star reports that Amagansett is about to lose another historic building, this time at 27 Indian Wells Highway. According to the paper, an 1808 home built by carpenter Samuel Schellinger is slated for demolition, the second area home to be torn down in recent months.
The Star idenitifies the demolition permit holder at Ling Ling Hwang. Public records show that the home was sold as in foreclosure proceedings in October 2007 for $2.05 million.
