Nothing like a homily to set the tone of a blog about real estate agents / associate brokers / sales agents. Basically this sermonette’s message is no matter what you call yourself, you’ve got to pay your taxes.
See the homily on the Hamptons Real Estate Blog on the status of the tax cases against 11 Manhattan agents.
But there are 31 involved in this particular tax case -- not all from Manhattan. Six are from Long Island -- one from Southampton, the rest from, ahem, up-Island. The rest are from upstate somewhere. Interestingly, these state tax cases are being handled in Albany County. Such a trek.
Here’s the list:
-Adam Krause, 39, of West Babylon, accused of failing to file tax returns between 2000 and 2006, authorities say, and he owes close to $30,000.
Others whose cases have not been detailed include John E. O'Neil, 47, of Massapequa; Elizabeth A. Clarke, 56, of Southampton; Phyllis Kelly, 44, of Sayville; Denise Buser, 46, of East Islip; and Donna Stovall, 51, of Rocky Point.
