Eliot Spitzer's Montauk connection

Eliot Spitzer may not own any homes on Long Island, but the disgraced governor is reported to have vacationed here with his family at least once.

In 2006, the Spitzer clan spent time at Montauk’s Panoramic View Hotel on Old Montauk Highway. Part of that property is now being transformed into luxury villas with concierge service and ocean views from every room. The two-to-five bedroom villas start at $2.8 million. Amenities include oak flooring and wainscotting throughout, and kitchens with granite countertops, Viking ranges and Sub-Zero refrigerators. Oceanfront rentals are also available for summer 2008.

The Panoramic is next to Gurney's Inn, and neighbors include actor Robert De Niro and designer Ralph Lauren.

Spitzer apologized to the media today after it was reported that he was part of a "prostitution ring."
