Free house contest for vets

Veterans of the war in Afghanistan and Iraq who are struggling because of their service may be eligible for a free house. The home, located in southwestern Pennsylvania, will be given away to the recipient who may occupy, rent or sell it. He or she must be able to maintain the financial obligations such as real estate taxes associated with ownership or sale. The Hope Lives Foundation is sponsoring the giveaway to a vet who is struggling with financial, emotional, or physical hardships. Entry forms are available here or by calling (412) 673-9800. Mail entries to: The Hope Lives Foundation, Home for the Holidays, 112 Arona Road, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. All entries must be received by Dec. 7.
