RealStat: August property closings

August was a good month for closings, with $10.5 billion in Long Island and Queens properties changing hands, according to the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island. That surpassed July’s figure of $8.8 billion and June’s $7.3 billion. But it did not trump August 2006, which had $11.1 billion in closings.
