Traders on the prediction market are losing confidence in a Barack Obama-Hillary Clinton ticket in the upcoming election.
In June, traders on Intrade predicted only a 10 percent chance that Obama would pick his former opponent - a decrease of more than 20 percent from May. Today, the predictions were more favorable for Clinton at 14.5 percent, following the pair's unity speech in New Hampshire.
Intrade lets people buy and sell shares based on predictions of future events.
Here are the top predictions for Obama's vice president pick:
Virginia Sen. Jim Webb -- 21 percent chance
Clinton-- 14.5 percent chance
Retired Gen. Wesley Clark-- 10 percent chance
And here are the top predictions for McCain's vice president on Intrade:
Gov. Mitt Romney -- 18.5 percent chance.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty -- 16 percent
South Dakota Sen. John Thune -- 15 percent chance

Hillary's time for Veep has passed. Polls show that her supporters are either flocking to Obama or aren't enough to make an impact in the race, so the need for her on the ticket is long gone. Jim Webb or Joe Biden are top names to lend experience to the ticket.

You want the the economy tank let it be Obama and anyone. Can you say 21.5% prime rate under Obama that is what it will become.

What polls show her supporters have flocked? Polls show he's getting a little over half of them. 23% for McCain, 16% stay home, 5% third party.
If he picks anyone but Clinton he will be in big trouble. Many Clinton supporters that ARE saying they'd vote for him are still expecting her on the ticket.

Just an opinion but Joe Biden will never take the second chair to Obama. Jim Webb is like Obama not enough national experience. He should ask Bloomberg.
McCain should take Romney. He has the business savvy and dark hair. Don't take a gray-haired guy and not a woman.

Yup, that is what they said about Clinton. The economy sucked under him, right? Nice try. Typical Republican scare tactics. Baseless.

Webb? Let's hope not. This guy's a hot head who has done very little, if anything, for his state and I live in Va. He's concerned about #1, and that's about it.

I for one am waiting for him to make his VP choice to see if he has any of the fabulous judgement I have heard so much about. If he is objective, he will pick Hillary because he should picksomeone who is equipped to be the president.. If he does not he is NOT doing the right thing for the country, if he does not it is because he is insecure in his own right with her around. Not good either way you look at it

Of course they would be. This team would tax their speculation activities and break their easy money at the expense of the normal investor who is kept off the secret maneuver techniques they use.

If he does not choose Hillary he is not doing the right thing for the country. A VP is someone who has to be prepared to be president if need be, she obviously is the most prepared. If he does not choose her is speaks to his personal insecurity and self interest over what is in our interest. Not good, any way you look at it.

Hillary is yesterday's news. Her supporters need to wake up. Who wants a loser as your second, especially one who has her own agenda. He won't pick any of the three listed for VP. But he should find a female with executive experience who's not old enough to be his mother.

I will not vote for Obama period even with Hillary as VP. I was a lifelong democrat until they shoved Obama down our throats.

No, batski, NOT at all baseless. Billy Clinton's spending impulses were reigned in by a Republican-controlled House & Senate. The result was a near picture-perfect check & balance on spending.
Put a profoundly leftist, borderline-Marxist Obama in the White House, with an already Democrat-dominated House & Senate, and it'll make Bush (who has definitely not been a typical fiscally conservative Republican) look like a miser.

As an Obama supporter, how terribly disappointing is to watch Obama pandering and bending over both ways to put the Toxic Clintons in a pedestal and to have to beg them to campaign for Obama's election.
Most of us that wanted Obama to win over the Toxic Clinton Woman wanted it in order to put all of that in the past and to move forward, the polarization, the civil war of parties and classes. But these people, The Clintons and their people, are like that drunk uncle that keeps showing up at the family's parties unwanted and uninvited.
And so now Obama opens his arms and invites them when we all know is that they will poison him and his campaign if they have a chance because they have a plan for 2012. If she plays a prominent role in his cabinet or campaign, it might lure many of us that were Obama "swing" observers to stay away from the polls and leave it all to chance.
It will be so nauseating and so deflating to many of us that look to new faces and change and that lived through that awful era of cigar sex and Monica's blue dresses (and monarchies by both the Clintons and the Bush families) to see that the Obama presidency, if elected, is just another 4 more years of Clintons running around in the White House.
Enough already. After this week our skinny Bamby Black Prince Obama lost his spunk and went on the stage of Unity and what he really looked more like another "yessum boss Uncle Tom" to the Clinton master. He practically said that the Clintons were the second coming of slice bread when all they have been doing for months is trying to poison his campaign. Oh well, how disappointing it is of the Democratic Party to have to go back to beg Mr. and Mrs. Toxic to support them because they are supposedly holding the cards with these millions of voters that votes for Mrs. Toxic.
Let's move on forward. The Clintons lost and as losers they should not be holding the winner hostage.

Hillary will not be the Vice Presidential pick. Not gonna happen. I am thrilled.

Hey BStrange, how soon you forget the best economy and surplus our country had during Clintons presidency!! Whether you like them or not the bottom line is Obama needs them so get off yor high horse and deal with it!

I'm really glad that Clintons are supporting Obama. It's almost like payback for all the rumors they spread out about him. Obama did not fall so low and kept his image clean. Obama is gracious enough to understand that he needs the Clintons' support. But I believe that Obama by himself can do just as well. Obama for president!! Go Obama!!
