Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke is giving his semi-annual monetary report to Congress, testifying before the Senate Banking Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.
The U.S. Sentencing Commission is holding a symposium on alternatives to incarceration.
The U.S. Helsinki Commission is holding a hearing on what to do with the prisoners at Guantanamo in the wake of the Supreme Court decision giving them the right to contest their confinement in federal courts.
