Calling tax dollars "wasted" as the likely future POTUS visits a war zone is disingenuous at best. How does that compare to the billions that have been, and continue to be spent, on the Iraq misadventure? How about the millions that are being spent to ferry a lame (duck) president on his farewell tour to Europe, the Middle East and to his front row seat at the Olympics not to mention his many private fund raising events for McCain and other republicans under various guises such as flying over the California wildfires. That is truly disgusting and shameful.

Did they just refer to this as a campaign season tour? I thought we were paying for it because it is supposed to be a congressional deligation to Afganistan and Iraq. In that case he owes us a payback of the costs from his campaign funds.

I think some of you forgot that McCain dared Obama to go to Iraq and Afghanistan. So he has. Now that he has gone as a congressman (yes we pay for his trip with tax dollars) he shouldn't go? Make up your minds or should I say quit flip-flopping? I recall McCain has spent quite a few of our tax dollars himself. What is good for the goose is good for the goose.

I can't tell you how happy I am that the taxpayers are paying for this campaign tour (what a bunch of chumps!)
My corporate sponsors would rather I spend their money on TV ads... while I'm getting tons of free TV for this.
