Another Billionaire for Obama

This is beyond excitement, and also beyond "We The People" of America. The world cries for change, and the challenges of this new century are probably too deep to fathom, with our priorities being the preservation of planet earth, and our immediate concern being the replacement of our current Corporate Government with a constitutional democracy.

When Baraak spoke just before the 2004 election, I seen a man with clear vision speaking from the depth of his soul, and know that I was not alone when I allready had thoughts that this was someone who could show us the way to understanding and diplomacy. I only hope that he doesn't play by the rules that are in place, but will play his own game, and reinstate the constitution and the bill of rights. I believe that he is the person who will lead by example, and simplify the rules that take away our freedoms. We know that we are a long way from the truth when we can't even understand all of the rules.

Our country is in a state of low esteem with most of the countries in the world, but I believe that it is our leaders who are disliked.
Now we have to take back our honer by being resourceful in improving the environment and using our resources to solve these problems.
This planet is too much trouble for any country to use their powers to wage war for control of resources or to exploit others for personal gain. George Soros and Warren Buffet understand this more than we think. Joined by Penny Spritsker this junior senator is off to a good start, and in reality the expenses will not be small. The internet campaigns will definately be a big contribution though.

The 6th "Swamp" posting on Obama today! A new record, beating the old record (5) set just last week.

Too bad for Barack "Clean" Obama, his billionaire supporters can only donate,by law, a couple grand.

NEW YORK (Reuters) -- Exxon Mobil Corp. posted the largest annual profit in U.S. history Thursday, even though fourth-quarter earnings fell on lower natural gas prices and shrinking gasoline margins.

For the year, Exxon Mobil earned $39.5 billion, up from its previous record $36.1 billion in 2005.

You're darn right that I'll cheer an American company posting record profits any day of the week. If you had your way, Loon, all of our oil money would be going to Venezuela to prop up a tin-hat socialist dictatorship.

Tony, I don't know if they're profiting off the war or not, and neither do you. What I said is I'm glad an American company is doing so well and obviously re-investing in its production network and workforce. I'm also happy George Soros and the Pritzkers are doing so well. Wealth creation is good for the economy in general.

Actually Jeff, yo have no idea that they're "obviously re-investing in its production network and workforce" either. BP did a great job of showing that oil companies can make huge profits without doing basic maintenance on their production network up in Alaska.

But you did sidestep the question. Does ExxonMobil have the best interests of all American's at heart? Or is that a charge you only make at those using their wealth to promote liberal politics?

Tony, ExxonMobil is a money-making enterprise, just like the Pritzker family hotels. Neither have the best interests of all Americans at heart. They put the best interests of their stockholders first. They both put their money behind whichever political leader will best support their interests. Sorry, but that's just business. The alternative is socialism, so I'll take business any day.

You win the prize. I heard that Exxon-Mobil released earnings today and I wondered which "loon" would blog this first.

Some other fact you may of missed since it wasn't reported in the media. Yes, Exxon-Mobil made $39.5 billion in net income this year. That's a lot of dead presidents. However, Total Tax Expense is over $100 billion. There are a lot of gov't officials that are dang happy to hear that Exxon-Mobil had record profits because they also had record tax expense.

To put this in economic terms, the shareholders - the ones that take the risks - made only 40% of what the gov't - those that didn't take the risks - made. Sound fair?

They aren't profiting from the war unless you count the impact the war has had on the price of oil. There profits are driven by the price of oil and the demand for oil. World demand has been high due to strong economic conditions.

As far as cpital expenditures, they spent almost $20 billion in 2006.
