This is GREAT!! I have found a product that has given me my life back and I am not on all the drugs. We would not be getting sick and ageing so fast if the FDA had not sold us out!! I was just sent the Born-Tubby-Mild cartoon this morning from another baby-boomer and I really needed a good laugh, because I threw my back out last night getting my grandson out of the bathtub. Anytime something is said against Obama, some black person has to make the assinine argument that the person against obama is racist, as someone has just done on this site. that in itself is a racist statement. I am a white person who is a Hillary supporter. I would have no problem with a black president, It is just that Obama is the wrong guy. , He DOES have a muslim backgound, and one time said he would want to be able to put his hand on the Koran.And he DID refuse to pledge allegiance to this country, refusing to put his hand over his heart. Obama said the yesterday that he would pull troops from Iraq, then send them back if there was more al Queda activity that arose. Hillary seems to be running as the Obama alternative, while seperating herself from the her husband, and also unsuccessfully bragging about her experience. My vote is for McCain.

I am a white woman and I believe that this is all insane. You should know facts before you smear any of these candidates. All three are politicians and all three are human beings. For the same reasons that women shouldn't vote for Hillary just because she is a woman, people shouldn't vote for John McCain because he's a white male or Barack Obama because he is a black male. I'd even challenge that a significant number of people who bring this up actually FAIL TO DO THE SAME WHEN THE NATIONAL ANTHEM IS PLAYED.

By the way, I'll answer my own question. When the anthem is played what I do depends on what I am wearing. I will either stand still and place my hand over my heart. If I am in my "work clothes", I will salute the flag or salute in the direction of the music.

Now. Would anyone like to talk about the candidates views on the issues or shall we continue to focus on this type of thing.

I don't understand how people can still spout the blather about there being an economic crisis "since Bill Clinton left us 'with no national debt' " WAKE UP! PLEASE!!

The 'balanced' budget and budget surpluses under CLINTON were PROJECTIONS, nothing more, nothing less. Clinton did very little to balance the budget - the tax CUTS that resulted in the tax revenue increases that projected the so-called "surplus" were the result of the actions by the Republican House & Senate. I am very glad that we have taken the action in Iraq, and I certainly beleive we need to WIN in Iraq. Pulling out without a VICTORY would make the entire war effort over the past 5 years pointless.

I do believe that the Iraqis should start shouldering most of the FINANCIAL LOAD for our operations and troop deployments to their country. I feel it is VERY unfair for the american public to be left holding the bag for the billions we are spending there in the name of peace for their country.

He appears to be mixing up the deficit and the debt.
After 12 years of Republican rule [1981-1991] both the debt and the deficit exploded.
In other words, under the Republicans, we were spending more each year than we had in revenue AND therefore we were was adding huge amounts to our national debt [living off a credit card].
Clinton's budget, passed without a single Republican vote, got rid of the deficit. In other words, under the Democratic Budget [Clinton] we spent LESS than we took in in revenue. Clinton got rid of the deficit. But we still had to face the HUGE debt that the Republicans had run up before Clinton took office. So, the projection was that if we kept our budget in line as the Democrats had [no more annual deficit] then we could pay down the debt.
BUT as soon as Bush and the Republicans got back into office, they immediately started spending more each year than they got in revenue, in other words, they have a deficit each year, and that INCREASES the national debt.
Each year that the Republicans have been in control, they have been running a deficit and digging us deeper into debt. Our grandchildren now are deep in debt to China and other countries. This is not due to the Iraq war [although that certainly does not help..] It is due to the tax breaks the Republicans gave to the richest 1 %-- so middle class grandchildren support today's millionaires.
As the Republicans put us deeply in debt to other nations, this threatens our national security.

Have any of you stopped to think how badly both sides have addressed all of these concerns? Both sides have a hand in the war. The timing was correct, the reason was correct (at the time), as ALL evidence from all sources both domestic and foreign agreed on the WMD's. The probelm is that the politicians are AGAIN fighting this war. Fight to win, and get out, period.

Domestically our economy is in shambles because of bot Democratic and Republican decisions. Fast and free spending and deregulation in the 90's along with bad lending decisions and deregulation of the early 2000's led to this mess. Both sides have raided the Social Security trust fund and left it full of IOU's that we cannot pay back. Both sides have voted and passed increases in medicare and medicaid spending. Both sides have expanded the welfare rolls and removed any dignity that people that need help have left.

Democrates want to feel good, and spend money and provide for everyone....you cannot do that on the scale they want to.

Republicans have done nothing to curb spending and in fact increased spending....you cannot do that.

We ALL need to save money, stop spending every dime you make and then some. Take responibility for your own actions and your childrens actions. Teach your kids what is right and how to act with rerspect and dignity in society. Stop acting like you are owed everything on a siler platter and work for what you have.

I have no issue with helping truly disabled people that cannot function in society, but there is no reason people on welfare that need a SHORT TERM hand up cannot work for the support. I have no problem with immigrants as long as they come into our country the legal and correct way. I have no problem helping out the world as long as we stop carrying everyone because they expect us to be the world police.

We need a President who will take care of his/her people 1st. We need a President who will pull us out of the recession we are in now. Yes, I said it, we are in a recession.

Have you noticed the price of food going up? Prices of gas shooting up? Just today gas went up 15 cents over night. The price of goods and services are going up. Wages are not.

We can't ignore the economy. Ignoring it will only lead us deeper into debt and will result in millions becoming unemployed.

We need to fix the housing crisis also. We need to put a ban on adjustable rate mortgages. I also think that government should not be bailing people out of foreclosure either. They knew what they were getting themselves into. If they knew their house payments would go up why didn't they refinance long ago?

And the credit crisis...When are we going to kick the crap out of the credit card companies who allow consumers to charge huge amounts on their credit cards knowing their clients annual income? You and I both know credit card companies want to keep us in debt forever.

Nobody really is talking about the uninsured either...everyone is focused on the economy...lets also place a ban on illegal immigrants in our country from receiving any kind of health care unless it is an emergency situation. Lets stop giving away free health care for people who say they are 'poor' and can't afford it.

Environmentalists: I also blame you for the gas crisis as well. We can build more refineries in our nation to meet the nation's supply for gasoline, but you all cry that it will be bad for the environment. Sooner or later we have to do it. Sooner or later we are going to have to tap Alaska for oil. Americans are not going to pay for higher gas prices without a fight.

Truckers...I feel for you as well. Over $4.00 a gallon for diesel fuel is outrageous. Something has got to be done for truckers. We subsidize the railroad industry...we subsidize the airline industry...we can't we subsidize the truckers of our nation who are paying higher fuel prices without increasing wages?

i'm sorry to say that i have to disagree with your stance on how the world sees you. the world expecting the US to be the world police was back in Clintons day when there was also the option of diplomacy and wars were not started to obtain more resources but through the established international channels. With the weak dollar, huge debt, sub-prime mortgage crisis and loose cannon attitude that the US has its not the police its a drunk, violent bum.
Also the US government has admitted to not having any real evidence about WMD's and even if they had that is no reason to invade a country. No one invades the US, China, France or the UK do they? The war started in Afghanistan as vengence for something a private organization had done and then swung to Iraq for no apparant reason other than an oil habbit which has to be broken in the first place.
My suggestion to the next POTUS would be to drop the macho act and start cooperating with the rest of the world. That way this country can save some of its honor and not go down in history as the cause of WWIII

World police? Look at the Clintons record on that. Clintons foreign policy wasn't perfect, he went around "to enhance his legacy" and nothing remains, Kosovo, Northern Ireland... nothing. Clinton cut inflation by taking major items out of the calculations for Inflation (don't believe me, look it up!). It was all done with Smoke and Mirrors.

The Democrats are as bad or worse about running up debt. The difference is that they put their money into pork barrel legislation and social programs that we cannot afford. We all need to learn to take care of our own, not expect the goverment to do it.

Granted, the Bush administration has been a dismal failure in many ways. So did Jimmy Carter. Both parties, being politicians, are guilty of the same old routine.

How can this be changed? Stop Voting for Republicans or Democrats.... Register as an Independant, and if everyone did that, it would baffle the R's and D's.... not knowing where they stood. We need a strong independent candidate, who is not weighed down by political baggage like the Democrats and Republicans.

Sometimes I think we are just doomed. I have been off work for 4 months because of a shattered tibia, I have seen every debate, speech, analized word by one or more of the news networks, some subjects they just run in the ground. We are going to get a new President, and unfortunatley, our choices are McCain or Obama. We are truly in a delema.

The world has little to fear from the US any more, we're Broke ! The U.S. National Debt will soon be a Bush inflated 10 TRILLION Dollars, or US Peso's depending on how low the buying power of a buck will be when you finally get to read this. If investors want a profit they need to use Euro's and invest in China, India, Vietnam, and even Europe. the U.S. education and rube goldberg politically correct machine is turning out trailer park TV watchers at an astonishing rate, and the rest of the claas will in prison within ten years. Inventions, new technology, devastating new weapons, and other past alternatives to the drowened in debt US taxpayer, are mostly history now. The US is largely over, we just can't afford the 10 super carrier world intusion force and its trillion dollar tab. Maybe one of those Mexican immigrants will invent cold fusion and save us all, but the odds of an American student churning out a new money maker has all the staying power of a fart in a hurricane.
